  1. I don't know much about rods so I will never buy a rod that is BPS branded. I will never know if the rod is worth $140 or that I got ripped off. Not to mention, there is like a billion different type of rods and it is confusing.
  2. Huh... Everyone really thinks that Couture is going to beat lesnar? I think you give couture too much credit. Although you cannot ever bet against Randy. I still believe Lesnar is going to win. Let's look at some factors going into this fight: Lesnar will be about 45lbs heavier so don't expect Randy to out wrestle him. Randy has faced bigger guys, but has always been stronger than them. (eg. tim sylvia, gonzaga) Brock is a different story. Lesnar is fast! and I mean FAST! he will give Randy again a tough time standing up. Submitting Lesnar? HOW? Take his back? Arm Bar? Maybe another leg lock? NO WAY!!! Lesnar is supposely border line purple belt BJJ from what his camp has told UFC. He won't make the same mistake and will have better knowledge this time around. Don't expect Lesnar to try to submit Randy, but to instead be happy with the groud N pound like Tito style. If he takes randy down and will most likely win most of the rounds for unamious decision. Cardio wise, Brock has amazing cardio, but that isn't the point. Randy will be the one working really hard in this matchup. I want Randy to win because he is one of my fav. fighters, but I have a hard time picturing it. Hopefully randy can knock the big man off and do something to end it early since brocks chin hasn't been tested yet. That way I can see my dream fight. FEDOR VS. RANDY - AFFLICTION 3 or 4!!!
  3. 1 word. HEAVEN. i wish i can spend every weekend fishing there. it's such a beautiful place.
  4. I was thinking the same thing thats the spinnerbait will make it hard for the buzzbait to stay on top.
  5. What hook do you use to rig it?
  6. I know they work, that's why I bought it because a lot of people recommended it. Is it suppose to smell so plastic?
  7. I picked up a pack of these toads and when I opened the plastic zip lock bag, the toads really stink. They have this really strong 'plastic' smell to it. Is it suppose to smell like this? It overrides everything in my tackle box and when I open the box I can smell it. btw, I have some CYB senkos and they don't have any smell to it? I thought they were scented. no?
  8. http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_98396____SearchResults I want to pick up a rod for crankbaits, but I have a question about the 2 medium power rods. Why can the moderate action rod have the capability of holding heavier line and lure? Which one is better for crankbaiting? the medium with fast action or the medium with moderate action. I know standards say go for the moderate action, but can someone explain to me? I don't have much knowledge in choosing rods. Need help.
  9. If I change brands, then I will definitely have the bulk line sitting around for a few years. I hope it still works fine.
  10. I was wondering how long I can keep a bulk spool of line. I want to get McCoy Mean Green line and I only have 1 Spinning reel mainly because I use the bait casters. If I were to buy a big bulk, I feel like it would take me years to finish. Does fishing line get old or die with age?
  11. I've had that heart pounding feeling but it was by a something less life threaten. I was on my way back to the car after a long day of fishing. I was loading everything from the boat to the car. As I was putting stuff away into the trunk of the car. I hear the bushes move. At first I had no idea what it was. If it was an animal, I'm pretty sure it would of just walked off after hearing me. I tuned around and saw this little small animal with some white on it. It was a skunk!!! but that wasn't the scary part... that wretched turned around and lifted his tail up. Although he didn't skunk me, but if he had, I would of chased that thing down and kick it as far as I could into the lake. Hahaha... Good thing I didn't get skunked or the 2 hour ride home would of been tough for those sitting in my car. ;D
  12. I've never fished wacky for my senkos before because I do pretty well with it t-rigged. http://www.***.com/descpage-GFWH.html I don't get the difference between the 2 and the 2/0. If I wanted to buy this for 5 inch senkos, which one should i be buying? weedless? or non-weedless? octopus or finesse wide gap. which one performs better and is easier for someone who has never fished wacky style.
  13. I have a few items from each company and after about 2 years of use, this is all I can contribute to this thread. Daiwa has an amazing drag system on most of their spinning reels and I love it. The reels are also very smooth. No problems with it at all yet. I have 2 Quantum baitcasters, one Tour Edition and one Energy PT and they are really smooth reels. I have 2 quantum Energy PT baitcasting rods and their rods are probably the best you can get at that price. you can check out the BPS reviews on it. A lot of people like that rod for the price of 100 dollars, but I get them for about 86 bucks CAD which now a days is about only 70 USD. Can't beat that price.
  14. What knot do you use to tie on your leaders? Does anyone use a swivel instead of directly tying the 2 lines together?
  15. Does anyone buy these? I have a few, but I rarely ever take them out of the tackle box. I know they are good for a stop and go retrieve. Not sure how to use them and for what situations. Let me know.
  16. I only have 3 rods with me... if i had the money, i would just upgrade the 3 that i have. i don't like having so many rods because it's just too much stuff to bring along.
  17. i can't afford to use flouro. so on my crankbait reel, i have 10lb big game with a pretty long flouro leader... the reason why they have the smallest diameter for mono is because they want to get the bait all the way to the bottom. if you have a good set up for crankbaits such as a good rod, you can actually get away with braid.
  18. LMB will eat anything that fits in its mouth. oh it's true...
  19. Hey, I've had that happen to me before. The fish just stopped fishing and I had no idea what happened. Like a minute later, I realized the fish was still hooked on the other end. nice fish.
  20. i voted for the LC Pointer. nuff said.
  21. i guess for me, standing there, concentrating all day is more work than me moving around having fun and not noticing how fast time passes by. i could probably jog for 15 minutes, but have the hardest time in the work to just stand there and stare at a wall.
  22. nice bunch of pictures... i wish i had time to fish, but midterms are here for me at school... gotta study.
  23. 3/8 White Spinnerbait (Willowleaf/Col) A pack of 5" green pumpkin GYB Senko Lucky Craft Pointer 78 in Chartreuse Shad Bomber Fat Free Shad Jr. in Pearl Shad 1/4 Rat-L-Trap in Chrome Blue
  24. thanks, i guess it's time for me to invest in one of those pliers. it will definitely come in handy for me.
  25. for me, most of the time i use a single willow leaf for standard conditions. a single willowleaf will give me more depth where as for the DW, i will run it just under the surface. a DW will allow you to fish it faster and it's great for weedy areas as the blades won't get caught up in it. the blades are for how you want to fish it the lure (fast, slow, etc) and the skirt is for the water conditions. just pick and choose combinations that best fit.
