Up Or Down? How Do You Keep Your Ob Motor When Trailering?
I've seen that as well. But, my guess would be that it gets them off the hook for any problems resulting from the use of a "transom saver". The question in my mind is this. Could a manufacturer be liable for any damage caused to the lower unit when there is a clearance problem, or does the additional clearance clause absolve them of liability? Which raises another question. Why do not the manufacturers sell a product that will support an outboard in the tilted up position? My opinion is that the owner/operator is responsible to trailer a rig safely. That includes not driving where there is not adequate clearance between the motor and the ground, and using a device to support a motor when greater clearance may be required.

Up, using a device which takes the strain off the motors tilt mechanism. You cannot have too much clearance between the ground/road and the lower unit. You can however, have too little.

Ways To Carry Rods In Truck Bed?
Stick jackets, rod socks or whatever are fine for the rods and the guides. I'd also want something to protect the reels from clanking around in the bed of the truck. Some have suggested a blanket, but a word of caution. You'll need to secure the blanket. At highway speeds the blanket will want to lift out of the bed, and while it's not likely, the possibility exists that the blanket could take a rod or two with it. Cut the toes off of some old socks, and slide them over the reels. If you want security to keep the socks in place, heavy rubber bands will serve nicely. A tonneau cover or a cap would be ideal or security, but may not be practical, depending on how you use your truck.

What To Use In Heavy Vegetation?
Try a fluke on these types of hooks. You may prefer a different variation, but you can rig these with a fluke, and they are pretty near weedless, even when dragged through the worst kind of gunk, except for filamentous algae. Skin hook the point, and you're good to go. You can also try Rage Tail craws, or similar, and fish them top water, just below the surface and if visibility allows, let it drop into any open pockets.

Painting Bass Boat
Clean it up. Fill any diggers and blemishes with bondo. Sand the surface and use a body wash to clean the hull. It can be found at any store that sells materials to body shops. Then spray it with something like featherfill. It's a polyester primer that will fill tiny scratches and pores in repaired areas. Once the surface is sanded and smooth, apply a good coat of fiberglass primer. After that, sand, and apply a good automotive enamel, followed by more fine sanding. Apply a clear coat to finish the job. Be sure to use a wet or dry sandpaper. Check with the place where you get the materials to find out what grits to use for each step. A good vendor who sells to auto body shops should be a reliable source of information. Keep in mind, Corvettes have fiberglass bodies. You should paint your boat using the same techniques. Many replica auto bodies are also fiberglass, so it's nothing new to any established vendor.

Music While Fishing
No music for me, but I see nothing wrong with it. After all, fish and music have something in common. Both have scales.

Setting Up A Llc Or Similar Company
You may find you will need a public accountant to do your corporate taxes. In addition, you may find that you have to pay a minimum tax to the state, regardless of profit or loss. If memory serves, an accountant has to file your federal quarterly, or annual reports. In any case, I believe you will find there are ongoing expenses to incorporating or becoming an LLC.

Ri Boat Registration Question
In MA, I only needed to register the canoe. They weren't interested in the trolling motor, or its model and serial number.

Stupid Question About Bassmasters
Bassroom, bathroom, has me wondering. Why do we call it a bathroom? I mean it really makes no sense. A half bath is a room with a sink and a toilet, but really no place to take a bath. A full bath is a room that has a toilet and a sink, possibly two sinks. So why is it a "full bath" when you can do more than just take a bath in it? The British term "water closet" doesn't make a whole lot more sense. And, in the nautical arena it's called a head. Now that I can somewhat understand since I have been told, on occasion, that I have my head up my .............................................

Bass Fishing Tackle
If you are comfortable with spinning rods, why not use one for bass fishing? There is nothing wrong with baitcasters or spinning outfits. I fail to understand why some pooh pooh the use of spinning combos. Each has its advantages and disadvantages. A fish does not know what kind of a boat you are in, or what type of rod is attached to the business end of the line.

Gary Yatomoto Senko Vs Creme Lure Stick Worm
I've tried the BPS version, and a few of the others. But nothing seems to work as well for me. They will catch fish, but not like the original. I did get some imitations at the BP gas and tackle shop when we were at Pickwick. I believe they were hand poured, but would not wager a nickel on it. The quality was excellent, and they fished pretty good. Now that I'm back home, I'll give them a good tryout. Don't know how I'd replace them. I believe they were made by someone in the Counce area.

Virginia? Heck, for me that's just a commute from southeastern MA, unless it's in the extreme southwest part of the state. Even then, It's not much more than a twelve hour drive. A piece of cake.

Stupid Question About Bassmasters
Stink? I couldn't tell you whether or not it does. What I can tell you is that the blisters in my nasal passages are about healed. It took a week for my eyes to stop watering. I had to throw the outfit I was wearing in the trash. It looked like it had been dipped in battery acid, and chlorine bleach.

Rod Box Pvc Pipe...
Rod socks work fine for me. Put the rods you are likely to use on or near the top. I use old towels to lay between the reels so they don't clatter together on the road or on rough water. I also stagger the rods so the reels don't lie side by each.

Stupid Question About Bassmasters
I just recently realized that my plastic trash container, when lined with a plastic baggy can do double duty (pun intended) as the head. Flip up the step, sit, wipe, knot the top of the bag and resume fishing. Haven't had to use it yet, but should the need arise, I'm prepared. The problem is the toilet is adjacent to the cooler. Oh well, whatcha gonna do.
