Solid fish there, great story. I once witnessed a guy jump off a dock and retrieve his rod and reel that a huge catfish took off with. He also landed the fish. Good job.

I fish my spinner baits with a Powell 683C 6' 8" MH XF and a Chonarch CH100D7, love it! My rod is rated for 1/4-3/4 oz spinner baits.

Sorry bout that, it happens! What is even more aggravating is when that 5lb fish that just broke you off, keeps coming up beside you at the boat trying to spit the hook out.
