Boat Buddy
i had one on my trailer but it was junk! the pin would not lock in when i would run the boat on. and you also need to have the boat buddy at the perfect angle and with mine i had to replace the hook on the front of the boat. there is more work to those than it seems my experience with them just made my blood pressure rise.

Kayak ???? Need advice
ya that kayak should be ok i have worked at a canoe livery for 4 years. sit on top kayaks tend to be more stable than sit in's and about the w shape in the back idk much about but i would tend to say it would be another way of being stable. although if i was you i would stick to the canoe. i have a kayak and found it can get kinda tipsy to fish from im not trying to sell you on anything but its what i have found. but i know the troubles of loading a canoe on your own until you get the hand of it.
