Question for carolina riggers
Ive always used lead weights, but I think ill be tryin out the Tungsten this year based on the responces to this thread. I also use braid with a flouro leader, started using the flouro last year and felt it made a BIG difference in the waters i fish. Out of curiousity, Why does the tungsten wieght work better, does the greater weight to mass ratio make it more sensitve? Or is is due to less friction on the line?

Ever approach an owner of a pond?
Another Idea that comes to mind, is to present them with a "waiver of liability". Some legal document stating that you will not hold them responsible for any injurys you sustain on their property while fishing. You never know someones history, and problems they have suffered in the past for doing something nice for someone else. Maybe, with a promise to c&r, and no worries about being sued, the property owner would be more open to the idea of allowing you to fish his/her property.

Time to go back to old school......
Heres another vote for orthotics. I blew out my L4 and L5 in my early twentys, fixed it mostly with physical therepy, but it still bugs me alittle. Since I add the inserts to my work boots though, the pain is much more managable. I hope you can find some relief, I certainly wouldnt even wish back pain on my worst enemy.

What are you REALLY good at ? (OK to brag here ;-)
There is not a person alive, better than me at finding submerged logs and trees with a jig. Not one person...... >
