I have the same exact rod and I use it for 1/4 oz jigs,Texas rigs with no problems.

100% spinning for me.This past year I targeted smallmouth bass 95% of the season in a river system close to me.I strictly throw various soft plastics and jigs.When I do target largemouth bass in heavier cover in lakes around me I will bring my 7’Mh/fast legend elite spinning rod using the same lures (soft plastics,jigs)

How would this rod be for throwing 1/4 oz mainly, but on a rare occasion up to 3/8 oz jigs and Texas rigs in moderate cover ? I currently use my St Croix Legend elite 7’6” medium powered / fast for all these techniques which works just fine, but I’d rather have something with a little stiffer backbone for mid summer fishing when the weeds are more dense.

I use my 7’6” medium power /fast action Legend Elite for throwing 1/16-1/4 oz Finesse jigs and Texas rigs.

I use both the 7’medium fast legend elite and the 7’6” medium fast elite ( both spinning) in my kayak all the time. Only two rods I take.I use the 7 footer for drop shotting and the 7’6” for Texas rigs,light Carolina rigs.

It could be my fault because the battery was last charged probably 10 days ago or longer.Is it best to leave the battery on the charger all the time ? The charger I bought was a Noco Genius 5.
