  1. Or if you have ADHD like me!! ;D
  2. Haven't really been able to go out fishing this fall, most of the lakes I fish are pretty far so I can't ride my bike to them. And with us being a bit short on cash my pa has been doing to be a deputy at the polls for November (he's a hardcore Obama voter ;D). So we haven't really been able to fish this fall, we only have gone once, I did ride my bike to a crappy little pond to fish, but I didn't get many bites worth mentioning ( ). But the on trip I did go on was one of my better days!!
  3. I have a 10" rod handle, it works fin for roll casts. I know Finwick as some.
  4. Much to learn you still have. Yes great Jedi master!
  5. Couldn't agree more!!!! Although I am a sox fan, they might not win or win with a really big lead, since they sold Manny. RIP Manny :'(
  6. Couldn't agree more!!!! Go sox!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. These were my exact stats last Monday, the day I quit smoking. 6 days later.....5'7" 126 lbs Burley, I was going to suggest a gym but if the fish you catch aren't helping you burn any fat, nothing will,....those monsters will give ANYBODY a better workout than any gym...... : Congraulation on quiting smoking!
  8. Dude, sinker weight is a tool :, what you are going to use dpends on what you want the bait to do and if such is the better suited for the situation, place and location, where you got the idea that 1/2 oz sinkers are only for the big baits ? I just have better luck that way, it's not just "what I think" it's what I have had success with! I have tried using light and heavy weights with smaller and bigger worms, but I get bigger bites when I use a smaller weight with smaller bait and bigger weights with bigger baits, 1/2 is just what they seem to like with 10" worms.
  9. I wouldn't not go lower than 10lb, in fact, i would not even go under 12lb unless it was sufix elite! You could try getting the brakes really loose, and hope you don't get any back lashes! Try getting sinking crank bait to get it down deeper, but I find slow floaters do better. The only other idea I got would to use a heavier crank, like a DT, but that's not cheep crank! Hope this helps!
  10. The lake is actually on my friends neighbor's property, and I can't go their without him. He will also bring his john boat! Let's hope that I remember to bring my camera
  11. As of Saturday it was 3.55, but about a month ago it was 4.31 as I recall!! Let's hope it keeps going down
  12. What lures are good for fishing clear water, I've seen bass busting out beyond the weed line, so I was thinking shallow cranks and jerk baits. I know small white and blue spinner baits with willow blades work, but that's it. Many thanks! What leader for clear water?: http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1223840385
  13. Found a pond that has bunches of lilly pads, clear water, and I have seen VERY big bass in it! What kind of leader should I use? I want it to be light enough so it can't be seen, but heavy enough so i wont break off in the weeds. The lightest FC I have is 20lb yo zuri and I use it for inshore salt water, would you say it's a bit to heavy? I have very little experience fishing clear water. Any help will be appreciated! What lure to use in clear water?: http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1223841005
  14. May I ask what rod you used for lighter lure? What is its lure weight range marked on the rod? Quantum Bill dance signature series rod 6'6". It says the max wight is 1/4, but I have cast weightless 6" tiki sticks with a 2/0 Gamakatsu hook.
  15. congratulations Dave! BTW nice first bass!!
  16. 4-4 1/2lbs Very nice small mouth!! 8-)
  17. Tell me about it! I little while back, I was fishing a crank bait and i hooked in to a 23" long, 12" wide snapping turtle. thought It was a gar or a really nice bass! But unfortunately i left my pliers at home, and could ant get the hook out, so i had to cut the line and watch my favorite crank bait swim away! :'(
  18. Me and my friend were going through an old tackle his dad gave him, their was some old yum (i think that's what it was) scent in it it worked fin for us!
