  1. Here's one I did a little while ago. http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1254270468/0
  2. Cool!!! Calling mom right now, she's one of them gift bag savers, so she should have a nice variety. Buzz
  3. I also use both, but I only post on BR because it has more of a casual feel like your talking to fishing buddies. BR is more keyed to bass fishing. TU on the other hand is for lure and rod builders to share and gather info on how to's. Not as friendly. Both are great and I don't consider them as rivals. Buzz
  4. Marty, Looking good as usual. I sure wish the economy would get straight so I can feed the monkey with some more of your baits. Buzz
  5. I recently received several JoBaby spinnerbaits and some Lumaflex skirts to upgrade some of my old War Eagles. Yea I watched Glenns' video! Awesome quality with one exception, the swivels. They don't freespin good at all, nothing like the War Eagles. So the ? is can I supertune the swivels like I would the bearings in a reel by flushing and re-oiling? I can't put them back on the shelf as Glenn suggested since it was an internet purchase and I really wouldn't want to anyway as they really are nice looking baits, plus Jim is a great guy to deal with and even sent me some freebies so rather than complain to him I want to remedy it myself even if I have to put some Sampo's on. Buzz
  6. I rotate mine over night but a couple of hours is all thats really needed. I usually wait 24 hours before re-coating, but I'm sure 12 would be fine. 2-3 coats is what I usually do. Buzz
  7. John, got the earrings today along with an awesome suprise. D@^^n you a great artist. Thanks so much. Buzz
  8. Don't know about the value but from the looks of the seats I doubt it's been garage kept all it's life. Buzz
  9. nope, think lower ;D So instead of fishing with live bait I'd be fishing with a live rod. ;D ;D ;D idlov2fish; Cool contest and just in time for V-day. Thank you Buzz
  10. Earrings
  11. I split the grip on a rod and after shaping and final sanding there were a few nubs that just would not go away with sanding. I took a new Gillette razor and busted it up to get a single blade out. You can bend it to the shape of the grip and with some precision eyeballs shave the nub off. You might have to lightly sand to finish. Buzz
  12. I have them exact 2 lures I bought off e-bay still in the packages. They have stick-on eyes on the side just like yours. They are made by Norman Lures. Not the greatest quality, but they will catch fish.
  13. Top ones are Tennessee Killers made by Norman Lures. Buzz
  14. I really like the effect around the eyes on the trap, looks like eye lashes. Just perfect for a pink pattern. A hooker dressed like a hooker!!! I love it. Buzz
  15. Thanks guys for the comps! anniewood the clear is Enviro-tex lite brushed on and put on a turner for a couple hours. I usually give them 2-3 coats. Buzz
  16. I don't set the hook with trebles, but I would think when the trailing bait comes up and hits the floater it would drive the hook deeper like hitting a nail with a hammer. Or it could knock it out of the fishes mouth, who knows. Buzz
  17. I found out who helped design it. http://www.hughescustombaits.com/ Buzz
  18. Well I never had such a hard time spending 25 bucks so I decided to give one a shot. I got the Chartreuse Shad. I'll report my success if I have any. Buzz
  19. Just spotted these today while trying to spend a gift certificate online. http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_10208625_100005000_100000000_100005000_100-5-0 Buzz
  20. Got a Cruxis off e-bay for cheap but it had been tampered with by an idiot. It was missing the spring and pin for the drag clicker which is really no biggie but the drag washers look like they have been roughed up with sand paper making the drag choppy. so I was going to get new washers from SmoothDrag, but would also like to change the cast control knob and star drag which are plastic to metal. My question is will Citica or Curado parts interchange and where could additional bearings be added? Also does anyone have any of these parts to make this possible that they would let go for a reasonable buck? Thanks, Buzz
  21. On these I painted over the factory paint. I bought these new in solid pearl color which made the perfect base. Plus it saved me a step. I started with pearl silver scales on the sides then I shot on the transparent red then the bars with transparent medium gray and last fluorescent yellow on the back. All colors are Createx. Buzz
  22. I did these for Christmas gifts. I think I'll call it Convicted Clown. I think this pattern on this lure is going to be deadly, now I just have to do me one. Buzz
  23. Thanks guys, Modding a cheap rod is a lot less scary than a high dollar one. Not as much to lose if you screw up. That rod is paired up with a $179 Revo sx hs and is my jig rod. So it's living the good life. Buzz
  24. Well since lizards love to eat bass eggs, a T-rig or C-rig lizard is my go to bait for bedding bass. Buzz
  25. Are these them? http://jdlures.com/softplastics/lizards.html Buzz Well after re-reading the op I guess not.
