lol... how much you want for it?

baitcasting rant..
both baits i was throwing with a 1/8 oz bullet weight. i have thrown 1/4oz wild eye somethings without any problems before. i may have lost my touch. i love the rod and the reel , but it seems im focusing more on my technique than i am fishing. i will give it more time before i decide on what i want to do (unless someone has a cardinal 800 series and a rod to match lol). just frustrated is all...

baitcasting rant..
what i just realized , is that i did oil it for the first time since i bought it used. boy , was that spool spinning. it was mid flight when the nest would occur. the first nest took me about 5 minutes. the last one took me about 30 seconds to get out. i have tried with 3 and 4 brakes and i could not get the distance i wanted. i mean , i have had it since feb , so im familiar with it but today was just one of those days i guess. i did find a frog colored rapala skitter pop that someone had got snagged.

baitcasting rant..
i have two of the brakes on, the way they have always been. tension knob was tighter than i usually have it too. i was throwing flukes and 5" trick sticks. i find that i kinda force the cast but i never had this many in one outing before. usually its only one mild birds nest per outing since ive only had it since feb. meh.

baitcasting rant..
i laughed about it too , but it was very frustrating at the same time. my combo may be up for trades in the flea market soon..

baitcasting rant..
i dont know what my problem was today , but every other cast was a birdsnest. it was a bit windy which didnt exactly help but it was super frustrating. also , the fact that we didnt even get a single bite didnt help either. i kept telling myself that my citica/compre combo will be up for sale and ill just go strictly spinning. shoot , they are cheaper and nests are not a problem with them , but i do like the control of the BC. :-/ has anyone else felt this way?

Pistol Advice
i will be in the market for a 9mm subcompact pistol as well. for the cheapness , i saw keltec's pf9. they are only available in DA only though. but they will be very easy to conceal in summer clothes if you choose to go the CCW route. BUT kel tecs are not the type of gun you go to the range and put thousands of rounds through. they can jam , and will need to be taken care of. probably more so than others. i was eyeing the springfield xd9 for the longest , but i am unsure of the grip safety so the glock 26 may be the one for me. i still havnt been able to get them in my hands to see what i like better , but those are the ones that i think i will be most comfortable with. i also like the fact that some glocks have had 250,000 rounds through them and are still going.

Best rigging for Crappie?
ive had luck with smaller floating rapalas. F03's and F05's. either black and gold or black and silver. they nail them in the private pond i fish. to get deeper , i throw on a split shot about 10 inches up from the lure.

For Cigar Lovers
if you do not like an overly sweet smoke , i would avoid those at all cost. and do NOT store them with other non flavored cigars. or any other cigar for that matter. shoot , put them in a tupperware container just to avoid the headache. iirc , the blondie is basically the same thing but smaller. i may be wrong , its been a while since ive had one. CAO flavors are better imo. the moontrance and the honey are worth a try as well.

For Cigar Lovers
for a humidor , you can check out cheaphumidors.com. most or all of them have a great warranty. or if you want to go the cheap route , like i did , use a cooler. get the beads from heartfeltindustries.com (i used the 65%) and digital hygro and thats about it. he has directions on the site on how to set them up with the distilled water. ORRR , you can just bite the bullet and get a vinotemp wine cooler. 8-) you think fishing is addicting? wait till you fall down the 'slope' and wind up with 100+ cigars and no where to put them ;D . and ill say it again , everyone who hasnt checked out taboo cigars really should. the twists , SFO's and HSG's (my favorites) are REALLY worth checking out. i havnt smoked a more consistant cigar yet. and with a few months time in the humi , they get even better. the value blends are great also.

PIFs (pay it forward) / Bombs
well the thing is on those forums , all the members were of age and a bit more mature. so when someone mentioned they got bombed by another member , no one messaged them asking for handouts. im not saying that would be the case here , but it is a possibility and id rather avoid that by not putting anyones name out there unless i was told i can.
-
PIFs (pay it forward) / Bombs
yes , thats the thread i was referring to. but instead of just hard baits , it could be from jigs , to plastics , to whatever the sender wants to send someone but only up to the allowed cost limit unless its a bomb. ah , well im not stressing it. i have received something from a member on this forum and was told just to pay it forward. i just thought it would be nice for people just getting into the sport to give some new things a try.

PIFs (pay it forward) / Bombs
it is too bad some people wont live up to their word. when i was on clubstogie (or whatever it is now) they have had their PIF thing going on for what seemed like forever without any major problems. shoot , i remember receiving over $30 in cigars in one package without notice. THAT was nice. :sigh: oh well , it was worth a shot. thanks for being clear with your post , kent.

PIFs (pay it forward) / Bombs
Well personally, I wouldn't trust that method. We have guys who have very high post counts who haven't been here more than 6 months. We also have guys who have been here a long time and don't have many posts. We also have guys who have both been here a long time, have a lot of posts, and are flakes. It's a good idea but I think a great deal of paying it forward already goes on. i know it does. but it would be nice to randomly send something to someone without them knowing. i know i like when the usps/fedex/ups guy drops something off at my house. it was just a thought.

PIFs (pay it forward) / Bombs
im not assuming anything. : just a thought of a way to determine is a member is reputable or not.

PIFs (pay it forward) / Bombs
couldnt find the other thread , but i think it should seriously be considered. its very common on cigar forums and works great there. so i dont see why it wouldnt on a fishing forum. basically , a moderator keeps a rolodex with the members who want to participate addresses. one member sees another who hasnt tried a certain lure/plastic that they can spare , and send it their way. this can go unannounced (bomb), or just let the receiving member know. either way. then , depending on how it was received , that member can send something else to another member and it just goes on from there. now obviously , we would need to keep this between reputable members (maybe members above a certain post count?) so that someone else can enjoy what they have to offer. also , maybe keep the cost around $10-15 so people dont try to 'up' the next guy unless it was a bomb. then thats up to the recipient to decide what they want to do. it may sound confusing at first , but it is a very simple way for people to try new things without picking up a whole package and not like them. or they can simply pass along that lure to the next guy. would there be any interest in this , or am i way ahead of myself? ?
