Good showing for the rookie JVD. Any thoughts or opinions??

Jigs fallin apart!
Don't know how long you've had them, but after a while the rubber collar will dry rot and break.

More New Havoc baits have been released
I don't get the Gary Klein twin tail grub. It's no different than any other twin tail. At least the others are somewhat original.

Elites= Athletes?
I disagree...they are expert bass fisherman. To me an expert angler catches anything, anywhere, anytime....i.e. Larry Dahlberg.

Few if any pro anglers are from the Northeast. Why?
I have to disagree with the idea that there are more lakes down south that are great for bass fishing. I lived in Central NY and within a four to five hour drive, I could hit lakes from Oneida to the St.Lawerance river, any of the finger lakes, Lake Ontario and Lake Erie...Plus a million little ponds and some really good river systems. A real bonus is that they don't get pounded like they do down here. Doesn't get much better than that!!

Hey guys! Tell me how you view women fishing with you?
I wouldn't mind at all...but my wife really has no interest. As far as why women don't post on that section...I recall seeing a post a while back where a woman wrote that she doesn't post on there because all she got were responses from men and she was looking for the women's perspective. I agree with the others in that there isn't as much participation by women in the sport. This site a small percentage of fisher-people as a whole, therefore even less participation in the forum by women.

Few if any pro anglers are from the Northeast. Why?
I'm originally from there...I think most of the reason is the environment. The short seasons, it's not as popular, and as someone else said..with all the trout, salmon and walleyes , a lot of people think of bass as a trash fish. My analogy....You don't have many professional hockey players come from the south!!!

How many of your change your treble hooks?
I change them most of the time, unless they come with good hooks. I always use Gammy's---they are sticky!!!!

Plastic newbie
You need to seal them or you will get bubbles in your baits. I just use straight Elmers and it works great. I use about 3-5 coats on the mold until I pour.

Keep making those lures!!
Hope this works....

Keep making those lures!!
In a recent club tourney I caught my personal best---a 7.6 pound largemouth, on a spinnerbait I created. The blade configuration and combination is something I've been working on for a while. Looks like I found the right combination though!! So....keep making those lures, the satisfaction of getting fish on your lures is priceless.

Why does everyone buy the lures that win The Classic
I'm amazed that everyone goes out and buys the lures that win the Classic. Shallow cranks have been around for years, now that KVD won with one, everyone is buying them...Just boggles my mind!

BASS...what do you want out of them??
I see a lot of people putting down BASS, not renewing or not even becoming members anymore. I was wondering what you think BASS needs to do...and what do you want out of the organization??

Taking the confusion out of the wind
I think of the wind just like I do current. It positions them in fairly predictable places and it usually gets them feeding more actively. and---some current is productive and some isn't.

Figuring out diving depth
They have a book that shows the running depth of most crankbaits. It's not an immediate solution, but may be worth looking into.

A Fun Idea Maybe....
And you'll five minutes from lovely Onandoga Lake.. LMAO.

Clunn using Skeet
Just saw that Rick Clunn signed with W&M rods and will be using the Skeet Reese rods and reels this year. Wonder what they're going to do with all those BPS signature rods and reels!!

This forum heading is strange.
I've been on this forum for a couple years now, and enjoy it very much. However, this section has baffled me. The description says 'Looking for sponsors..Post your resumes here.' This to me sounds like companies go in here to look for people to add to their pro staff or have a sponsorship position available. However, this section is just people making "suggestions" on why no company would consider you according to the resume you post. Or griping about how you should make it on your own, and not spend time on looking for sponsors. I'm not sure anyone gets anything out of this section. Again, I'm sure I'm in the minority, but just thought I would throw it out there!

Stingray Grubs
I used to use those on a mushroom jig (don't know if they make those anymore), but when you jigged that thing, it would go crazy. Saw it on In-Fisherman years ago and tried it, of course it worked!!! Killed the smallies---haven't done that in years though.

Changes to post season for B.A.S.S.
I like their new idea. I don't mind the "fans vote" idea either. I view it like some of you said, as an All-Star tourney. With that said. I would like to say that I also didn't mind the prior 2 yr postseason. Everyone says how it's not the "true" AOY, but here's my view: This year the Patriots at 13-3, lost to a team with a lower record than them. The better team through the year did not win. Same with the NASCAR points system. The leader throughout the year doesn't end up the champion. The point of the season is to get into the postseason where you position yourself to win a championship. I think this was BASS' thought process in that past 2 AOY's. I don't think it took the purity out of anything, I thought it made the AOY race exciting. Maybe they should of still had to fish against a full field, and get the points you would normally get for your finish---Similar to NASCAR. Maybe they shouldn't have shortened the length of the tourney---but I think the overall concept was a cool idea. I know I'm in the minority, but it's not the first time and won't be the last!

PreTournamnet Jitters
I used to be like that until I learned that the things you think about the night before usually don't translate into the tourney. Every day is new, so I just keep the info I learned in the back of my mind, get a good night sleep, then completely change my plan when I launch the boat :D!!!!

THEFT at b.a.s.s southern open/toho
I think it's Roland Martin ;D ;D!! Just kiddin'....that is terrible. I wouldn't wish that on anyone!

Fishing trends...drive me crazy!!!
Some thoughts on fishing trends.. They (pros and the like) used to say the large spinning reel spools caused more twist and line slap, so they go to long spools. Now, they say the larger spools make for longer casts and less twist. They went from front drags to rear drags and back again. They used to say that you should use a low gear ratio for flippin' to winch the fish out. Now you should use a high gear ratio to get them out as fast as possible. They used to say to flip with a rod like a broom handle, now it should be parabolic. Bottom line...I think just stick with what you have and the trend will come back around!!

Craws
Very nice work. Great paint Looking for opinions, do you think that the detailed paint catches more fish or fisherman? It seems to me that a crankbait going by them quick (especially the rattlebait), that they wouldn't see the detail. Again, this isn't a knock on your paint, I think it's amazing. But I wanted to see the opinion on this.
