I am having a hell of time finding D2T---does anybody use anything else to attach the weedguards to their jigheads.
  2. It is a little scary holding on to that much horsepower. :-[
  3. Senile- No offense taken, the beauty of art and music is just that-- for one person it's genius and for another it's garbage. I just wanted to post some props for some great music and a great musician.
  4. I just saw that the final weight show for the Classic will be at 10:00PM-12:00AM. I'm not an old man, but I think that's a little late!! :'(
  5. So, all those colors of DD22's I have I don't need!!! .....and I wasted all that $$!!!
  6. Although the definition of genius is: Extraordinary intellectual and creative power. He does have extraordinary creative power!!
  7. Muddy, I totally agree, and I don't use for just anybody. I think he is one of the few that this word really applies to. How about, he's a musical aficionado!!!
  8. I think everything this guy writes is truly amazing, from the stuff with The White Stripes to the stuff with The Racanteurs. He writes music with touches of every genre. He even wrote and produced an album with the country icon Lorretta Lynn. He has the respect of other country greats too, like Ricky Scaggs, and thats just a couple of the feathers in his cap. I am always anxious to see what he'll put out next. "I did what I did just to spite you, and I got what I got all despite you"---Jack White---Beautiful!!
  9. this is true, but it depends on many factors.but, the near invisiblity of the red in deep waters means the red hooks are less likely to be seen by the fish If your speaking of the invisibilty of red line, thats due to the combination of the red color and the qualities of the monofilament. Because light can pass through it, it becomes invisible. With hooks, the light can not pass throught the metal and therefore reflects the light, similar to the flash on a spinnerbait blade. And since they're red the reflected light is red.
  10. And eventhough you can't qualify for the Classic, it will be a heck of great learning experience.
  11. I don't have any kids so I wasn't aware how big this problem was at the high school level. That is very scary and very sad!!!

You don't think they have a forum where they talk about how much money we spend on fishing, do you?? :-[

That 's an easy one to answer, one or two pair of shoes to match with every single blouse/trousers your imagination can combine, which means a danged lotta shoes. > Ever happened to anybody that you go on a trip and she "forgot" one or two pairs of shoes in her lugage ? that mean you gotta take her shoe shopping. Or....when you're on a trip and they find something and say "OH, they don't have these back home!" Which again means, they have to buy them!!! :'(
  14. Without being linked to a boater you won't be guaranteed entry. Most likely you will still get in because there is usually more boaters than co-anglers, but it isn't guaranteed. Maybe you'll get lucky and find a partner on here. Good luck and have fun!!! Most likely at the Potomic, you'll need some heavy rods, heavy braid and big hooks. You'll probably be doing a lot of flipping. Oh yeah, bring some Bronzeye Frogs with you too.
  15. I like two that were already mentioned--Fried Green Tomatoes and On Golden Pond. I like the special effects in Titanic, but not really the story. I don't know if it's considered a chick flick, but 'Baby Mama' was hilarious.
  16. As far as the oil goes----Not sure if there is still a warrenty on your outboard, but a lot of manufacturers will null the warrenty if you don't use their oil. With my Yammy, I only use Yamalube.
  17. I'm not a big baseball fan, so I was wondering what you baseball and Yankee fans thought about A-Rod. I think fisherman should use steroids---think how far we could cast a DD22---we could get that thing to dive 40ft!!! We could also horse those Falcon Lake pigs right out of the brush!!
  18. It shouldn't be a surprise to his fans that someone can die doing these things, but this was a young kid, and there has to be feelings of loss and sadness. *****PLEASE NOTE****I'M NOT WISHING THIS ON ANYONE---but if that was your son, would you just disregard his death and say he deserved it, he was a daredevil??
  19. I don't have a fancy recipe, but I put Anise oil in my bags of plastic baits. You can find other scented oils as well. A lot of guys just put their usual scent in the bag. I haven't tried it, but maybe spray some of the GULP! Alive scent in there.
  20. I am not a fan of the X-Games stuff and all the daredevil type things, but I think people feel sad that he won't be around to keep pushing the envelope. Dale Earnhardt died and he put himself at risk everytime he got in the car. It was his choice, no one put a gun to his head. Fans are still feeling the loss of Dale. It's the loss that they are sad for. His fans wanted to see him keep doing what he's doing. I don't think you should put your sadness and loss aside just because they choose a dangerous profession. We choose to go 70MPH in a bass boat(it's not exactly the safest thing to do), does that mean if our favorite pro has an accident, we shouldn't feel any loss?
  21. There are reports that Brett Favre has told the Jets he is retiring. Do you guys think it's for real this time??

That's what she says whenever you buy a couple of Lucky Craft. How 'bout shoes? I mean dollar for dollar, she leaves me in the dust! Her closet look like Macy's. 8-) I'm gald to see that someone else has a wife with a shoe problem!!! How many GD shoes could you possibly need . I don't say anything for fear she will cut me off from spending money on fishing stuff!!
  23. It wasn't a rumor---Rick Clunn said in the interview that is why he wants to run the other rig, to show that you don't need the big rig to compete. As far as selecting the proper tool, I will leave that up to Rick---I trust his judgement!! It was Tim Horton that ran a big walleye-boat type Tracker at Erie. Davy Hite and a couple others ran a jet boat for some tourney once too.
  24. I remember seeing something on Linder's Edge about that. They steered it with two fingers. Merc designed some new technology that allows the big motors to be easy to steer. (this was a while ago, so I'm not positive if it was that model or not) They liked it for trolling.
  25. Just because I have a little down time here at work!! A Tracker Pro Team 190 has a base price of $17,000 (not sure what model Rick plans to run), I think even with the motor updgrades and all the other stuff he would use, won't equal the amount of his center console Z9. I don't think his point is that they are "cheap", but the fact that they are "cheapER" (not $40,000). The wind is hard to deal with in an aluminum, that was my biggest issue when I had an alum. rig too. I think he's crazy for using it at Amistad, thats some big water that gets pounded by the wind.
