  1. I see the water is approaching 11 ft with the recent rains. Is the lake safe enough to run on? I was hoping to launch @ Paul Rardin (sp) park and run to Kreamer Island. Myself and my lower unit would appreciate any info.
  2. These are good questions.
  3. I assume if they died he would see floaters. They just moved. Not only because of the lack of bait and cover, but because the dying vegetation is sucking all the oxygen out of the water. The good news. When you find them you will find ALL of them.
  4. Do you only fish one body of water? Fishing one bait exclusively sounds crazy to me. Despite what you think it is limiting your success.
  5. Aww man the dreaded eye hook. I hate those. Happend to me on Sunday with a buzzbait of all things. I performed minor surgery. I think he was 20:20.
  6. d**n that tilapia looks huge! How big was that bass?
  7. Is anybody catching fish on the north end? All the good reports i hear are from the south.
  8. Doug Hannon: SEE..... I TOLD YOU GUYS!!!!!!!
  9. I have fished that system thoroughly. Everything said above is true. It is ugly, dirty and urban as can be. Jet skiers are everywhere....and the ramp is a nightmare... BBBUUUUTTTTT........I have killed fish in there. Loads of peacocks and a surprisingly good larg mouth lake too. I have also caught tarpon and a 15 lb snook on a zara puppy in a hydrilla field. If you can go during the week and when it is nasty out (wind/rain) it will be empty and the fish should bite too. I would never/ever go on the weekend. If i had to i would be there at dark thirty and leave by 10.
  10. first order of business will be a prop change.
  11. It was time to upgrade from my 14 ft john. Just picked up an 08 tracker 175 txw w/ a 50 merc 2 stroke. 12, 986 OTD with the Steal of a deal crap. It can be a good deal on some of the boats. If it is has been stored well. Some of them are pretty beat up from being outside for a year.
  12. is it on a stringer?
  13. i would go right to the areas you catch them during low light conditions and back off to the nearest deeper water. They arent moving far.
  14. I blame this fully on being in the sun for the entire week.... haha......understandable.
  15. colder months= dusk warmer months=dawn colder being a relative term here in SoFl.
  16. haha.....yeah that is what i meant by "..on fire"
  17. Jeff Kreit: I hit my own self in the head. wow.
  18. I like them because they are cheap.
  19. yes. hope you miss the cold fronts.....but you will catch regardless.
  20. Wow. Good work. I thought HP, Sawgrass etc were on fire down there. Guess not.
  21. pic 3 and 5 the same fish? Looks like it. Those look like prespawn fish still. I thought they were spawned out there. Good stuff!
  22. Hasnt the red line claim been proven false? Anway....what he said^......fluorocarbon or green braid/mono.
