  1. That's very true lol, I'm gonna try to get out every day during winter break trying to catch just one decent fish.
  2. I havn't posted here since April, and I kind of miss it. So I'm going to try to become an active member on the forum again. Lately I havn't been going out much because of school, but when I do go fishing it sucks. I either catch nothing or a dink or two. Idk, I think I just need to find new spots. I'll keep trying throughout the winter and let ya'll know when I catch 'em and what I'm catchin' 'em on Here's a throwback -Jason
  3. What prestige and level are you guys now? I'm 4th level 43. What's your favorite class? Here's mine. Intervention FMJ with akimbo rafficas as the secondary. Sleight of hand pro stopping power pro and steady aim pro. With stun grenades and a thowing knife. Death streak is always final stand. My favorite thing to do is quick scope. Sometimes it's the only thing I do online. People always watch the killcams and wonder how I do it lol. If you don't know how to and would like to learn I'll teach you this weekend in a private match. Hit me up my xbl gamertag is captainXcola. When you add me send a txt or voice message letting me know that your from bass resource and what your name is on here so I know who I'm playing. Another thing to consider........ This Saturday night we should have a bassresource.com match where we get 9 players from here, put our clan tags as BASS and play ground war. Just a thought! Message me on xbl if your interested.
  4. Anyone here play call of duty modern warfare 2? What is your favorite custom class?
  5. Lately around here the bite has been on, but there all super dinks. Lots of 5 and 6 inch fish and one 1 lbr. Yesterday all that changed. I saw the first bedding bass of the year. I'm really not that into bed fishing around here as most of the time it really sucks. Normally you can't see anything and when you find a pair spawning they are impossible to catch. So, I saw this male on a bed yesterday and I couldn't get him to get any jigs/softbaits... So just for giggles I put on a 5 inch River2Sea nest raider. At first it doesn't trigger any reactions so I tried something different. I brung the bait straight in front of the basses nose, and he engulfed it! This happened 3 times but no hookups because of the un-needed weed guard on the bait. So, i took the weed guard off and BAM. Fish hooked, landed and released. He was the first decent fish I've had this year and weighed 2 lbs 14 oz. Here's a pic, it's poopy cell phone quality sorry ;D Today I went back to the same place the male was yesterday and there were two bass there this time. The female was only slightly larger than the male but I figured I'd Give it a go. The male was smart again and didn't even sniff the nest raider, but after about 10-15 minutes the female just couldn't take it anymore! She weighed just over 3lbs. Here's a couple pics, I know laying them on the ground isn't good but I was alone and wanted a pic so I made sure the grass was healthy and wouldn't harm the fish's slime coat. and one more..... Hope you guys are havin' a great time on the water. (All fish caught are released right after photos are taken) -Jason

I don't have the money for it but I figured someone here would want it! Happy Holidays Everyone!!! -Jason
  9. HAHAHAHA that's horrible Trust me i'm no natural
  10. Awesome. I could use it for basically anything that fits it's specs. Shallow Cranks, Jerkbaits, Lipless cranks, light t-rigs, weightless softbaits, small jigs, blah blah blah the list goes on lol ;D
  11. Thanks Everyone!!! This is my first really nice rod and now I have a feeling that I'll want another soon and the chances are that the price won't be as great as this, So my wallet will go from a Medium Heavy to an Ultra-Lite
  12. At dicks sporting goods there was a St Croix Avid 6'6" Medium power fast action casting rod on the shelf, it was the only one and It was missing the tag on the cork handle but it had the one on the bottom guide. I know the manager so I carried it up front and asked him what the deal with this rod was, he said that someone bought it, took off the tag, decided they didn't like it so they brought it back. I asked him how much, and he replied "55 dollars". I was amazed, I asked "WHY!? that's super cheap!". He said, "Merry Christmas Jason". Now that's what I call holiday spirit! -Jason
  13. I don't have a Gander Mtn. around here but that's sounds like a sick pickup ;D congrats on the find. -Jason
  14. WARNING: THERE IS STRONG LANGUAGE IN THIS VIDEO. The sad thing is there like 8 or 10 years old and they curse more than I do. The fish are nice and the video is entertaining but I don't think either of those 2 nice fish weigh more than 6 pounds.
  15. You know I can't just pick one I would say jigs (black and blue or green pumpkin), beavers, GYCB Flappin' Hogs, Zoom Super Speed Craws, and 4" Chigger Craws.
  16. thank you very much for your post
  17. I handled my friends powell and liked it alot, if in fact they do have a sale on them that will be the rod I get.
  18. thanks Dan, I have 30 lb braid on my citica and 15 lb braid on my curado, maybe something heavier would be good. Near the end of summer when I was fishing jigs more with 20 lb test I was breaking off more than I should have (on logs). I think I'll put 50 on it. I have fished 50 before and I kind of miss how strong it was ;D you could swing almost anything and would normally bend the hooks before the line would break. thank you for saying that. I also think the MH 7' rod would be good as I only have one 7' rod and it's a medium power rod, I have read that X-fast action rods are better for jigs/soft baits. Does this normaly hold true?
  19. Hahahaha that's grand
  20. I have a revo premier, last years model, and would like to buy a nice rod to put it on. I don't want to spend over 100 bones on it and I would like to fish 20lb braid with it for jigs, t-rigs, spinnerbaits, and swimbaits. Suggestions??? I was thinking either a st. croix mojo or a lamiglas excel but I am unsure about what length/action would be perfect for what I am looking for. Also what kind of warranty does lamiglas offer for their rods??? Thanks in advance. -Jason
  21. Sorry I got off topic, the Mr. Lovely swimbaits look decent, nothing special and can be had for very cheap on ebay, like seyone said. I may buy one on there and try it out.
  22. There's a time and place for everything, The Spro BBZ is my most productive swimbait and catches the biggest fish out of the ones I have (TT, Sexy Swimmer, Majic Swimmer[2nd fav.], lucky craft real california along with a few others). I swear by it, you just have to fish it when your not catching much and you think you need something to trigger a reaction bite, when swimming it If you snap it and point your rod tip at it (to give it a little slack), it does a 180 and looks right at the fish, it drives them crazy. -Jason
  23. The day where I caught the most was when I caught 18 small bass 8"-16", ALL sight-fished (last summer). My biggest numbers day before that was when I caught 12 on a jig at a different pond (about 2 months ago). The biggest fish I've caught sight-fishing was this 3 lb 2 oz largemouth (that's big around here). I mean I saw everything. I pitched to her, popped it once and she sucked it in. About a week later I caught this 3 lb 5 oz on a 6" weightless lizard, she hit it right on the bank. Then about 4 or 5 days after that I caught this 3+ pounder (didn't have my scale on me) on a 3 inch senko skipped under the ole dock. Another Great memory was my first big bass ever, she weighed 4 lb 11 oz, caught back in november of 2007. Here's another throw back! My first bass ever caught on artificials, 4 years ago! The greatest fight I ever had probly had to be the carp I caught this summer. Weighed about 5 pounds, but caught on 4 lb test!!! Took about 20-25 minutes to finally land. My two greatest days fishing were one day this summer I caught this 6 lb 5 oz hawg my PB(avatar fish) And not even 3 days later my Mom caught her personal best which weighed 6 lb 2 oz I've had so many memorable/best days on the water that I just had to post a few, Tight lines!!! -Jason
