  1. Have any of you guys been up to Newfound lately? I'm doing a tournament there Sunday with a buddy, and was just curious as to what's going on. Thanks.
  2. Nothing wrong with that, buddy. I usually keep it a little more compact than the Rooster, but there's no way possible a Rooster on a swim jig won't catch fish. Nice job.

It's always, ALWAYS, a Rage Tail Baby Craw or Rage Tail 4" Grub on my swim jigs (and I catch an insane amount of fish on 'em!).
  4. Tell him congrats! That's a beautiful fish right there.
  5. That's awesome, Wagn! I love it when my little man hooks and lands a fish all by himself, it's an incredible feeling.
  6. Beauty! Love that Craw!
  7. Yup, and I'll be jon-boatin' it on small waters then, too.
  8. That's a heck of a pike, Fmoore! That must've put a smile on your face!
  9. If they're hitting moving baits, I can't miss with a swim jig/Rage Craw trailer. If they're not, then a Tx rigged Rage Craw with pegged tungsten weight dragged slowly in 12 fow. Over the course of the next month, it's gonna be more topwaters (shallow and over weeds), and Carolina rigs (deep).
  10. Exactly why my bass boat never left the garage this weekend.
  11. Who else hit the water today? Got out at about noon today for a few hours with a buddy, and we got on 'em real good, including this slob that I landed on a jig/Baby Craw.
  12. Haha. I'll try, but I can't shut it off!
  13. Yesterday went out to rip some lips with a buddy, and did exactly that. Caught a ton of fish, but only one that was over 2 1/2lbs. This one, which was just shy of 8lbs.
  14. Welcome, John. I fish a lot of the same water, so I'm sure I'll see ya on the water sometime.
  15. Most will go with a crank or spinner, but I use a swim jig, and always find them with that. Thing never comes off my deck, actually.
  16. You are a bad man, Big O!
  17. The spawn has been on, and is done in some places. Nice work, NHBassmaster.
  18. I'm with you, Scrutch, on the Big O choice. Steve's one of the greatest guys I know, and a great friend, however we have never fished together. All that comes to an end this November, when I am going down to fish with him for 5 days on Falcon. Good times!
  19. Um, yeah. I think she's got it down pretty good. Nice fish!
  20. Sorry, never been to Freese Pond.
  21. Yeah, buddy! That's what I'm talkin' about! What depth were you fishing?
  22. It was a fantastic tournament, and I am glad I was able to be there again this year, and thankful to be a part of the foundation that made it happen. A special thank you to all of our wonderful sponsors and volunteers, without whome, none of it would be possible.
  23. You're right, Aluma, it was muddy up there, especially in the stump field. We ended up with 10 or so for the day, plus a couple cats and pickerel, but the biggest was only about 4lbs. Love that place, though! We saw two fish cruising over 10lbs, one probably closer to 12. The water was about 75 degrees. Baits that caught 'em, were a swim jig/Baby Craw, and a keel-weighted Craw, pitched close to wood, and up shallow, where a significant drop was close by. Next time I go there, trophy for sure. Definitely in my top 3 favorite bass lakes list.
  24. I'm with ya, man. This forum has helped me exponentially over the years, and I love being a member here.
