  1. Big O. He's a top notch guy, who is so willing to help, and extremely generous with all he is is, and all he has. He's the nicest guy I've ever met, that I haven't actually met. Next year I'm taking a trip to Texas, though, so I'll more than likely get the chance. Watch out, Falcon!
  2. Rage Tail Craw or Baby Craw, depending on the size I'm going for, but always have Rage pincers flappin' around on my jigs.
  3. Thanks for the input, guys. Much appreciated.
  4. Roadwarrior's suggestion is about as close to no memory as you'll ever get, especially the 8lb test.
  5. I actually find my most enjoyable fishing, and when I seem to catch my biggest bass, comes on waters way too small to get my bass boat into, and I'm using my little jon boat. My top 4 biggest bass of all time, have come while fishing smaller ponds, under 30 acres.
  6. I have to stay within the confines of D.C., so down to Woodrow Wilson Bridge, and as high as say, the Pentagon Lagoon. Not knowing the river, I didn't want to do too much running, but if it's suggested, I'll run anywhere within those parameters.
  7. Dan, I'm bringing my bass boat.
  8. I hear ya, Eloo. Last year I caught a baby little 5 incher on a 7" Anaconda, which has the profile of a 10"worm! Little tough guys!
  9. I'm making the trip down to D.C. for the Take A Wounded Soldier Fishing tournament. We are launching out of Bolling Airforce Base this Saturday, the 15th, and I was wondering what's working and where to start, since I've never been on this river before. One other thing, it looks like pretty severe thunderstorms all week, with Saturday being the first nice day all week. I have a map of the river, and have a very vague idea of how to work the tides, but I really want the wounded vet that will be with me to get on some fish, so any help is greatly appreciated.
  10. Hey, FBL, I'll be there Sunday, too! You'll have to wave me down so I can say hi. I'll be in the black and red Nitro. I can't wait to fish this place!
  11. Wow, those are some smallies!
  12. Top Water, with jigs as a close second.
  13. Nice fish! My favorite lakes to fish, are catch and release only, and it seems the population of real quality ones is much better in these lakes.
  14. Keel weighted 10" Anaconda or Thumper worm! Oh yeah, and definitely topwater!
  15. Shane J replied to R520dvx's topic in Fishing Reports
    Very nice job! Congrats!!
  16. SCUMBAGS!!! They should at least double their fines, and only 3 years?!? Why would they EVER want these jerk offs fishing again?
  17. I'd go with a 15hp, and spend the money you saved on replacing that metal fuel tank with a plastic one.
  18. Yeah, you will most definitely notice tougher fishing after they use the chemical. The raking part is okay, but after phase 2, find another pond for a few years.
  19. Sure they will. There's an article in the current issue of BassMaster about it.
  20. Three six pounders in one night! That's cool! I love night fishing, too, especially around the full moon. Nice fish!
  21. Yeah, deak, line capacity.
  22. I did try that invisi braid, and couldn't stand it. I now use the Power Pro (50/12), and I like it.
  23. Those are some great pics, man.
  24. I also use the 50lb PP braid on my Revo STX / Vendetta combo for my Rage Toads, and I can almost not see my bait anymore when I throw it way out there (exaggeration, but it's FAR!). I have a different setup for the Shad, and I use 17lb mono on my Fuego for those babies, and they also fly pretty far.
  25. Welcome to the board, Kevin! You should go fish with the rest of the NH guys May 14th. Bunch of cool folks around here. As for how the fishing is going, it's off the chain! Went to Hoit Rd Marsh today, and caught 16 bass, biggest was only 3-4, though. More friggin pickerel than I could even count (at least 15), with a couple huge ones mixed in. Got a couple on topwater (Rage Shad), a few on a jig/chunk in summer craw color, weightless Rage Craw, split shotted Rooster, and a Zoom fluke. Crazy day, and I didn't want to get off the water, but then the wind started kickin' my butt all over, killing my battery, so I had to bail. Seemed like most of my bites came inside or just out of the lily pads that have popped up in the last week. I did see a bunch of smaller males making beds, which was cool to watch.
