  1. Well, it is a good book. Not quite sure if it's that good, though.
  2. I don't even know how many fish I've caught using the Lobster as a top water bait. It's kinda nice, because when I want to switch it up on them, all I have to do, is stop, and let it drift on down to work the bottom, no bait changing necessary.
  3. Alright, thanks, Bilgerat. I figured something like that was the case. I'll e-mail Bantam and see if he can set me straight with it.
  4. I have a Stradic 2500 FH (the white one), that I bought new at the beginning of this year. It is mounted on a 6'6" Compre, and spooled with 8lb P-Line CX Premium, and is my primary weightless plastics combo. The problem I am having with it, is about every 10th cast, the bail flips closed on its own, and is really getting annoying. Is there an adjustment or something I can make on my own, or is something going on it? Thanks, guys.
  5. I'd like to be on that boat with catt and Big O. I feel that I would learn so much, and have a great time while at it.
  6. Yup, a 2/0 or 3/0 for the Baby is perfect. Also try that Baby Craw on a swim jig, and either one on a stand up jig head like the Spot Remover or Stiffy jig. You got some good colors, too.
  7. I had a great time out there, and am glad we all finally got to get together. I can't wait till the next one, and hopefully we can all get on some fish. Thanks for puttin' it together, Jay, it was a success, even though the fishing wasn't for all. We really got a cool bunch of guys here.
  8. That's what I'm talkin' about, badcrawdad! Hope to see you there. We are gonna have a blast at this get together, with most of Bassresourse's NH members being there. Awesome! Bring on the HAWGS! Thanks for the directions, Jay.
  9. Carolina rigged Rage Lizard fished deep.
  10. I'd try swim jigs, and weightless plastics, especially a lizard or craw bait. If it's cloudy, don't forget to try a buzz bait or other topwater. That's how I get them in small ponds.
  11. Nice job, fmoore! Nice fish you got there. Whose doing local tournys at night around here, and is it something I could get into?
  12. I'm coming from Pembroke (on 28 next to Bear Brook). Nhfisher PM'ed me about my open seat, so he will be with me, as long as that's cool.
  13. All right! Back in action, and ready to go to Powdermill! Somebody wanna throw down the directions?
  14. Could someone please PM me their cell # for a contact in case I get lost going to wherever we're going. Thanks. I will be without a computer from later this afternoon, until Wednesday evening, so if you guys don't hear from me, don't worry, I'm definitely still going. My cell is 219-8487 if anybody needs it.
  15. November 16th, 2009. 5:00am. Rage Tail Shad in green pumpkin/chartreuse. 7lbs 10oz.
  16. Baby bass get eaten all the time by bigger bass, so yeah, it's a good place to start.
  17. Yup, good as far as my info shows. I got my new prop yesterday, and I'm ready to rip it up!
  18. Nice looking rig there. That's a biiig profile, and will most likely catch some monster bass for ya!
  19. Yeah, it's a different world at night. It's heart pumping stuff when a big bass smashes a topwater 6' from the boat!
  20. Great bait. If you use the whole thing, use a 5/0-6/0 EWG hook. These things are great when you gotta make some noise, like at night, or real muddy water, but they also work well when you use the cut tail, and swim it along in sparse grass, or outside weed lines. Personally, I like to hack off a section or two, and Tx rig it, and drop it down ledges, or into any kind of drop off.
  21. Absolutely! They are all I buy now, and as I run out of my stock of Owners and Gammy, I'm replacing all with the Moaners. When I first got some, I put them through some serious torture, and they hold up just the same as the Owners. Definitely my new favorite hook, especially when you consider the cost (about 40%cheaper).
  22. NHfisher, that's a perfect setup for that place, and for lots of places! Good for you, man! You are gonna love that thing. Let me know when you are all set up, and we can hit some spots! For the small ponds, I just run a 10' jon with a 36lb trolling motor.
  23. It's not quite a secret, but I don't wanna just throw it out there, either. If you want to, send me a PM, and we can hit it up. As long as you release all the bass! Keep the monster crappie and gills if you want, though! I'll actually be out there today at some point. You really need a small boat to fish it effectively. The people that fish it from shore (there's a couple locals), only catch dinks, pickerel, and pan fish mostly.
  24. Whether they do I not, I don't know for sure, but just add Mega Strike anyway!
  25. UNH, where you goin? I still got that small pond by me to take you to if you want. I fished it yesterday from 5:30-10:30am, and I had one probably over 6.5 lbs break off right as I leaned over to lip her. You probably heard me yell from your house! Then I did land a fatty 4.5lber, and my hook set went through her eye and actually popped the eye right out, and while I was looking at it, she kicked her tail, and fell out of my grasp and fell right back in the water. Ticked I didn't get the picture, but oh well. It has been slower fishing there, but there's the chance of landing a hawg!
