  1. Awww... c'mon. There must be a time for you to take out the Tracker for some gettin' it on!
  2. Hey guys. I was thinkin'. We should have a gathering somewhere we could all hook up, run our boats good one last time and get in a little fishing before we put up the boats for the year. I have a back seat open to any non boater who wants in, and I'm sure between us all, we could come up with a location that works for everyone. Not to mention a cool outing, some of us could meet each other face to face, and it'd be kinda cool. What do ya think?
  3. Well, it was a no fish day for me. It was like 38 degrees this morning, and at least 10 mph wind. Basically, it sucked. I think I might be done hitting the water in the morning, it hasn't been paying off anymore.
  4. Okay, that's what I thought, thanks.
  5. Nice job, man. Nice to see some bass from recent. I'm goin' to my spot in the morning for a few hours, so hopefully I'll have something to show tomorrow, but those are a couple of good looking fish.
  6. That's what I'm talkin' about!!!
  7. Should I remove my batteries, or leave them in and plug in the charger once in a while? I live in NH, and it gets pretty darn cold up here in the winter.
  8. After the Shad, I consider the Toad my second deadliest topwater bait in my box.
  9. If you've rigged it dead center with a 5/0 EWG offset hook, it sounds like you've done everything right, just make sure you separated the SST tab on the tail. Yes, the superline hooks are the only way to go. Same thing with the toad. On both, I strongly suggest an Owner Tistlock superline, they are the best hook for these baits. As for the toad, no, it isn't designed to be topwater bait. They sink a lot faster than the shad. It sounds like the shad would slay 'em where you are fishing, but the toad seems to pull fish out, where you wouldn't expect to with a toad also. Good luck!
  10. Think I'd go with Falcon
  11. Nice fish! I love when they have bellies like that. That's the fall feed, baby!
  12. Couple of real nice fish for your wifey there, dude!
  13. My very first time throwing a Rooster, I caught a 5lb 1oz bass. I rigged it Tx rigged with a 1/8oz TT weight, and just slowly hopped it along. I was using a Green Pumpkin Rooster, and they are SMOKIN'!!!
  14. Or get a couple lures that look like the herring.
  15. Dude, nice fish. Darker than most I see around here, or is it just the picture? Either way, good job. What'd you catch her on?
  16. Rage Tail Shad. Been getting crushed with this color.
  17. Anybody else going to the Fish and Game expo today? It's from 10-3, it's free, and there's 'sposed to be lots to see and stuff to do, even for kids, so I'll be there with my boy. I'll be the one in the Rage Tail shirt and hat. Oh yeah, and yesterday was a crappy fishing day. I hit my pond and only got one 2 lber, then later brought the bass boat out to another place and got blown around for a while, and didn't catch a thing. Oh well. Good luck to everyone here for the weekend.
  18. It's private, but it's the place I'm gonna take you out to one of these days! I'm just keepin' 'em warm!
  19. Oh yeah! Not a bad morning at all! Started out slow with a couple dinks, and a 2lber before 7:00am, then it got real slow for a while, until I hit the bank with the old Rage Shad, and hooked up with a nice 4lb 12oz honey. Then I was trying out the new Rage Smokin' Rooster (soon to be available at stores near you), and got the sweetheart of the day, a 5lb 1oz beauty. hope you're all on some, too!
  20. Yeah, no kiddin'! I don't even mess with the Merrimack now unless it's up. Two years ago I hit shallow water and rocks under the Manchester St. bridge in Concord. Prop mangled, and lower end smashed to pieces. Hard lesson learned. There's a section of the river that I could easily walk from one side to the other right now.
  21. MMMMMM..... plus when you get in your vehicle, and you have 5 rods rigged with new Rage Tails, it smells like Starbucks!
  22. No brainer for me, I direct tie everything.
