I use a duolock with spinnerbaits, no question that the snap does not stay centered, but a quick jiggle and your back in business. For the convenience of a snap a jiggle now and then is no big deal for me.

If some have interest, this is what's happening. The SW fishing isn't great but it's starting to happen. Went out of Palm Beach inlet yesterday, was windy and had 5 footers so we only fished an hour or so and came back in, caught kings in the 15-20 range. Cobia have been happening, bonita are coming in and still plenty of sails around. On the way home I stop by Juno and fish the beach for a little bit, caught snook, about 8-10#. Got the outgoing so I'm jack hunting at dawn, fish for snook first.

I did say that I was now comfortable with the changes, I wasn't complaining. BTW I loved my rotary phones, they lasted like forever, never broke or needed replacement.

I'm gonna be real fair about this, braid blows mono away especially when it comes to strength. I have found only 2 negatives to braid, most here will not encounter either of them. Very bad line twist while trolling with spoons(ball bearing swivels don't really help)or using lures like my barracuda tubes which spin really fast. Getting line tangled with other lines like on a drift boat, mono is the only way to go for that kind of fishing.

Most 30 year old women have zero interest in a 46 year old man, of course there are exceptions. The 30 year old women that have kids want a man to be a good father and provider, the ones without kids want to have them as they feel their clock is ticking, again there are exceptions. I got married at 46 to a woman close to my age with kids and now gr kids, in hind sight I'm real glad I did, nothing better than family. The feeling I got from the the original post is comparing trophy fishing to landing a "trophy" partner, they are not the same. You catch a nice fish, take a pic, release it, then brag about it on BR telling us what bait was used and light your rod is. Hopefully one does not catch and release a good partner and knowing how good a relationship is requires no need to boast, just knowing it is good enough. A person of lesser looks than a Courtney Cox may be a better quality person and help build a happy life, may be a shame to pass that up if that opportunity ever arises. Never under rate a person until you get to know them and never over rate yourself. Time slips away, 46, then 56 and soon 66 with nothing but a picture of a fish, may be time reevaluate.

Funny you should mention this, I bought one a few months ago strictly for bass fishing and I like it as much as my redbones, paid $54 at Dicks, 7'med 8/17. My original purchase was an all star im10 on sale, hated it and returned, is advertised an in shore redfish rod, gimme a break on that one, no backbone.

For me,as with any fish I'm catching, the fight is the only thing that matters. If the fish run small or the species are not strong fighters I use light tackle. This bite, hookset,drag and hoist technique ain't for me.

Preparation H will give the same results as some of the cosmetic facial skin tightening ointments & creams or so I have read.

I employ only 2 techniques in both fresh and salt, " cast and pray "& bait and wait", at least 50% of my catch from my first technique are due to spoon( jspoons don't get hung up on reefs as much as other spoons at low tide).

On a site that is visited mostly by fisherman and hunters the aforementioned questionable words are use in context the majority of the time.

I've yet to figure out how to edit my posts after it's been published, also spellcheck/correction function does not seem to appear. I won't say the site is horrible but I did prefer the previous version. Reputation buttons,knowing what forum another member is viewing or how many people have looked at my profile are functions that don't interest me, all the power to people that like those features.

All of my freshwater fishing is done from the bank and I have caught quite a few great bass this year. I included my last boat as part of the sale of my home in Michigan on an inland lake, 29' sea ray for pleasure boating and I fished from a rowboat with 10hp outboard.
