Training is hard work!
I hate training new hires. I can't surf the net near as much when I'm doing that.

Man vs Wild
At first I only watched man v wild and it took me a couple of shows of survivorman to like it. Once I realized he didn't have a crew or wasn't just hamming it up for the camera I started to really like it.

Man vs Wild
Personally, I like Survivorman much better. He's by himself and doesn't do all the crazy "stunts". He just shows how to survive and why you do or don't do certain things.

The best Christmas present ever!!!!!
This is some very sound advice! Congratulations! Your life will never get any better than seeing your children born!

Advise for a towing vehicle
I also say go with something bigger and a v-8. The gas mileage difference is almost nothing and the peace of mind that you aren't going to break something is well worth it. I will have to say that after getting laid off several years ago I had a 00 Explorer with the 4.0 and it pulled the boat great! I wouldn't trust the trans too long though.

Met KVD Himself yesterday!

I'm struggling trying to get another boat in the driveway! I can't even imagine trying to do that. We'll send flowers after you ask her.

Richmond Fishing Expo Notice
Sam, I already replied to the pm about the LSU stuff but now I see DD will be dressed in JMU colors. It's a lost cause. ;D I'm hopeful I'll make it though. Dominion Dan, you said you were making the trek from Harrisonburg. If I can make it you're more than welcome to tag along for the ride with me.

Classic/Muscle Cars
I had a 68 mustang with a 289. I sold it and bought a 66 Ford F100 with a built 390. God I loved that truck! I kept it for 3 years till my wife and I went to buy a house and I sold it for a down payment. I'll have one again though.

Smoking ban in Va?
Dominion Dan, I sure hope you are wrong and this goes through. I grew up with a father that smoked and I'm scared of what I have to look forward to but I darn sure don't want to see my kids have to hear something like they have cancer when they're older. I say ban tobacco, alcohol and idiots and the world would be a much better place. (the idiots probably outnumber them all) ;D

Smoking ban in Va?
We could knock out two birds with one stone and outlaw drinking in restaruants and bars also. I wouldn't mind and believe the number of achohol related accidents would drop dramatically. 8-)

The "no haggle price" topic
^^^^ This is the way I handle car/boat deals also. If I plan on offering say $9500 I tell them that is what I'm paying and that has to include everything (tax, tag, processing fees, etc.). I absolutely REFUSE to pay a processing fee! That just burns me up!

Enough rain already!
I'm loving this rain! Our creeks and rivers haven't been hardly at all above normal levels and this rain is making them reach their banks. This means that most of the ponds and lakes around here should be full now. I just left work on an errand and noticed one of the ponds I fish is now full. It hasn't been full since last winter. I'm tickled pink right now. 8-)

Smoking ban in Va?
I somewhat agree. The Chilis here has theirs completely seperated by a full glass wall. You don't get any of the smell on the nonsmoking side. I do however believe that the employees should not have to be subjected to it either.

Smoking ban in Va?
Looks like Governor Kaine is trying for a smoking ban in restaurants again. I know this is a hot button topic for some just like it is for me. I sure hope this passes. I'd love to not have to pick and choose restaraunts to eat at based on whether or not it's smoke free. I'm trying to not only protect myself but my family as well from the dangers of second hand smoke. [ftp]http://www.governor.virginia.gov/MediaRelations/NewsReleases/viewRelease.cfm?id=845[/ftp]

Keeping fish from a Dink Pond
I have a similar problem to a pond I fish. The only other problem presented to me is the fact that it's county owned and only fished by county employees but when they write your permission slip to fish it they put on there "catch and release only". The bluegill are HUGE in this pond though. On any given evening in the summertime you can literally catch 20-30 8-12" bass in an hour. It's fun but you rarely get anything decent sized. My best out of this pond was this spring and it was about 5lbs. This pond is about 2 acres in size.

TENDONITIS AND OLD SHOULDER INJURY ACTING UP
My friends dad had the same thing several years ago. He went through therapy, shots, etc. with no luck. He got the surgery and has been good for the last few years. He retired which helped some but he still works on vehicles and fishes with us with no problem.

Giving my Thanks to BassResource.com
I'm very new here also and am loving it! I've been a member at several other fishing sites and none have compared to this one. I really love the fact that there are so many helpful and supportive folks on here. It also doesn't hurt that there seems to be so many people from my state here also.

Bass Depth-Activity Level-Lure Choice
I'm glad I had the time to read this thread this morning. Understanding how bass use depth has always been a killer for me and I believe has not allowed me to move to the next level of competent fishing.

Crossing my fingers!
My first full time job straight out of highschool was a correctional officer. I did it for 2 years and left to just test other waters. Needless to say I've always wanted back in this line of work. I'm working on my college degree in criminal justice and I'm hoping this will be a door that lets me decide exactly what I want.
