Citibank May Be Nationalized Overnight
It's hitting everywhere now. I work in the public school system and our county is facing a 4.7 million dollar shortfall. I never dreamed it would happen with this job but I'm betting there may be some support staff that gets cut or at least laid off for a short amount of time. I also just found out yesterday that the job at the jail that I was getting has been pushed back again. They put an emergency freeze on hiring and my start date of Feb. 1st has now been pushed back to May 1st. >

What line do you prefer?
I've used Berkley XL for years and never had any problems. I just recently put Suffix on a couple of my reels and I HATED it. I feel like it wants to backlash way too easy.

Black or Grey carpet ?????
I have to say grey also. I had very dark green carpet on my Nitro and it was terribly hot during the summer. It was hot enough that you didn't want to be barefoot on the boat.

If you're a Virginian
I live right in the heart of Lee-Jackson country. I cross Lee-Jackson Highway every single day too!

Trimming Jigs
I do the exact same thing. I feel like most weedgaurds are too thick and too long. If you push it down and it sticks on the hook then that might be a biggun you just missed. I also fan out the weedgaurd a little bit.

Place to stay near Buggs Island?
I always stay in the Comfort Inn right at the Clarkesville Bridge. It's just a normal hotel with decent prices. Plenty of boat parking also.

Do any of you work at a bait/tackle store?
My wife and I almost did this a few years back. It's still dream of ours to do but we've decided to wait until the kids are at least a good bit older than they are now.

Unbelievable! Even for a banker....
Although I don't have an answer to that I'm sure there are tax writeoffs and what nots that may provide instant relief to the mortgage company. Remember, it's all about the almighty dollar!

Unbelievable! Even for a banker....
I've always thought Countrywide had some pretty decieving ads. In all honesty, I"m sure most of them are fairly crooked. If you read the whole story it truly is sad that folks go through this everyday right now.

For Guys everywhere...
^^^ I just had the ole hernia surgery done last month. Pride just takes a backseat when this happens. I also have to mention the fact that there was a (I'm guessing) 20 y/o HOT nurse in training with me.

How much to spend?
I'm looking at getting another bc combo this spring. I've never been one to spend a ton of money on my rods and reels. The most expensive combo I have is maybe $150. I see some of you mentioning reel and rod combos that cost upwards of $4-500. Is there really enough of a difference in the feel and performance of a combo in this price range for the everyday fisherman? Some may laugh but I love the feel of the Berkeley Lightning series rods and have fished with them for the better part of 10-15 years. I usually pair it with a decent feeling $100 reel. Just so you know, I honestly don't have the money to dump into anything really expensive so maybe some pointers on what to buy would be helpful also.
