Said I was fishing in his backyard and how would I like it if he was fishing in my backyard. I apologized if we may have been too loud...I get it.... He went to the harbormaster and we got thrown out. To this day, and I'm sure this guy has been dead 20 years. I refer to him as the "Guy who owns Lake Michigan"

Papa always wins and Papa's blood never boils because of a child. I'll scold his mother and grandmother for his behavior before I scold him. They are the cause of some of his behavior. He's a perfect angel when he's with me. I'd never lay a hand on him but he believes I would. I tell him all the time that Papa always wins. The fear of Papa goes a long way. I never have to tell him more than once. Momma and grandma plead with him. The problem ain't the kid.

I'm in the parts business. I deal with guys that have all different skill levels. I utilize the phone for getting and sending pictures of what they are looking at because descriptions over the phone can be hit or miss. More importantly, I have them send me tags on the equipment or part so there is zero confusion as to what they are looking for. We just recently got a store cell phone for the aforementioned but, I'm not going to tell all these guys to start sending pics to a new phone number. As far as R410A, the phase out began this year. They will phase out the equipment first and then the refrigerant. I will hopefully be retired by the time this is complete. The cost has dropped over the last 6 months. Prior to 2021, R410A was around a hundred bucks a jug. On January 1st of 2021 the price of all refrigerant skyrocketed. Prices went up 400%-500%. The AIM act, which was previously shot down by congress, was buried in a covid bill that was signed into law December of 2020. https://www.epa.gov/climate-hfcs-reduction#:~:text=The AIM Act directs EPA,technologies through sector-based restrictions. As far as a replacement for R410A, there are a number of refrigerants being tossed around. All of the low GWP refrigerants are flammable. They are using propane and butane in small commercial refrigeration equipment and it's being widely used in Europe for residential refrigerators. R32 is being used in window shakers and PTAC units here in the US. R32 is the flammable component of R410A. The other refrigerant R125A, in R410A, negates the flammability. Who knows whats to come? The only thing I can assure is it's going to be expensive. Was a guy on youtube many years ago that was doing that. Got his account cancelled. Get a wire to short out on a refrigerant line and at the very least you have a flame thrower. At the most an explosion.

My hours are 7-4 M-F and we offer 24hr service although I don't volunteer for that. My customers have my personal cell number and I get calls and texts both before and after work hours which I don't mind. My customer base are regulars and all tradesmen. I would never want to run a hotel. I've seen the horrible way the staff gets treated.

Work is work. I was exhausted today at 1pm from brain fatigue. Slammed from the time I opened the store until the time I left. Blood pressure was up today because of it.( Had it checked after work) Spent a lot of time today trying to remember if I forgot something. Life goes on and tomorrow is another day. I'm not in the hotel business but I am in a critical industry. My paycheck is directly related to my sales and my sales are directly related to my service. Tomorrow is another day. Prioritize. I close the doors of my store at 4pm. A customer calls me at 3:55, after a long stressful day, wanting me to look up some old bids to requote before I leave. I tell him I'm leaving in 5 minutes...."I'll call you back". He calls at 3:58 and we go over all the stuff he needs re-bid. Were I not on commission, I would have told him to call me in the morning. I'm not that guy. I'll be rebidding the stuff in the morning anyway. I'm not going to tell a customer looking for $50k in bids to call me in the morning. The end result will be the same. He will either go or not go with the bids. The attention/service may be the deciding factor with the bids. If sticking around an extra 10 minutes gets me a $50K sale it was well worth it. If sticking around for an extra 10 minutes get's me nothing, it was just 10 minutes of my life.
