  1. I have caught 5 gallon buckets full of cement and rebar
  2. Caught a Natty Light on a jerkbait. I caught a dead loon, a push broom, an ultralight panfish rod that I have caught literally thousands of panfish with. My dad reeled in a 1 legged pelican.
  3. Can't say anything bad about Lund. As far as their new budget line, more power to them. I don't think it's worth what they are asking but what do I know? I'd go for a Fury before I'd get the new line. The hull on the Fury would last the average fisherman a lifetime.
  4. Can your boat handle an extra 500-1000lbs in batteries?
  5. In the early 90's, I worked with the singer/guitarist. We were truck drivers. He was a member of PG&E(Pacific gas and Electric) in the 1960's and formed a band in Chicago called Chicago Gas and Electric
  6. How do they expect to retire?
  7. One could say the same thing about many humans and it's more prominent with the advent of social media.
  8. Cat won't starve to death if there's a viable food source. Would you eat human flesh if you had to?
  9. Anyone who has ever had a predator fish in an aquarium will answer... The predator will always be a predator. They will not always consume the prey. I used to have cichlids. They will kill fish for the sake of killing them. They will eat fish if they are hungry.
  10. I sold a 10 year old boat 2 years ago during covid for $4k less than I paid for it new, with antiquated electronics. All I'm saying is it's a sellers market. If you feel the boat is a good buy, go for it. Electronics are no different than computers as they are obsolete at the time they are released. Any electronics are better than no electronics but they do not add value during a "normal" economy.
  11. I'm 53 and I have survived 53 winters.
  12. Boats are still getting a premium. Unless the electronics are brand spankin' new, they add zero value. The market is what is drawing the premium not the electronics.
  13. We have summer pool and winter pool. I assume full pool is either summer pool or winter pool depending on what time of year it is.
  14. Make 6pound pick up the land mines as part of his chores
  15. If pictures serve me correct, I caught my first fish 49 years ago. In the last 49 years, the only time fishing wasn't particularly enjoyable to me was during the 10 years I was competing.
  16. Do it yourself of had it done professionally?
  17. Saw my dad today and he spoke of Chuck Hughes who died in a Bears Lions game in the 70's and the game went on.
  18. It started on a Chicago fishing forum. I mentioned he is/was local. The Structure Fishing Show was on tv here Saturday mornings. The guy became a member of the forum and asked folks to critique the show. Told the guy if he wants to promote Structure Fishing fine, and If he wants to promote his kid fine, just keep the 2 separate. Others on the site agreed. This guy got all defensive about his kid. I understand that to a point but, there needs to be some separation of the emotions when trying to promote a business. The tv show lasted one season, if that. Sad too. The instructional videos were good. Just had no desire to listen to a 10 year old
  19. More to it than that. I wasn't born a.....forgot how to use English but I can be one. If my name was dick would I be censored?
  20. The deepest water nearest the useful structure is what BP was talking about. You mentioned 30ft deep. What about lakes that are 100ft deep, 1000ft deep? @Catt is your friend here. He shouldn't have to pry the information from you. Look up the Structure Fishing channel on youtube. While I don't care for most of the content, he really does a good job going over the basics in his workshop videos. Full disclosure, this guy is/was local to IL and the Midwest and I had it out with him at a fishing show many many years ago. He's not one for taking constructive criticism.
  21. When you pull up to the pump, what's it cost to fill up that bad boy?
  22. Purty bottle If you have to drink bourbon out of a Yeti are you a real bourbon drinker?
  23. I'm still working on finishing up the lobster mac and cheese from Christmas. My nephew didn't realize I brought it over or, he would have killed it that night.
