  1. The USGS should have the flow data you are looking for in real time, or close to it.
  2. I can vouch for the mpg. I got rid of my 08 Tundra at 230K+ Your numbers are spot on. Current ride is a 2017 F250 6.2L gasser. 12mpg towing or not towing. My personal opinion is there is no substitute for cubic inches. I'd rather have a V8 with 3.73 gears in the rear for towing than screw around with a V6 with turbos and a lower gear ratio for better mileage. Or the Dodge hemi drop a cylinder or two for mileage gain. More crap to go wrong. Toyota no longer offers the 5.7 in the Tundra. I think that's a mistake but, they have to meet the EPA requirements. The 5.7 is a beast of an engine. The Ford has been trouble free for 80K minus replacing the water pump. Can't say the same for the Tundra. While I loved the truck, it had numerous issues in it's lifetime.
  3. The gift from @LrgmouthShad aka Santa Shad arrived today. The gift will be opened by my grandson on Christmas Day and I will post pics then. Thanks again @deaknh03 for hosting this exchange every year. Guys/Gals, just a reminder, we have a Fishmas raffle going on until midnight on December 25th. We have reached $535.00 of our $1000 goal.

The term "illegal" is based on one's definition of the 2nd Amendment and the definition of "Shall not be infringed" Were I a betting man, I am confident the restrictions put on weapons in the state of IL where I reside, are 100% for revenue generation and nothing else. Law abiding citizens obey the rules and pay the fees associated, as unconstitutional as they may be.
  5. Alright folks, we're down to the final 6 days. The unofficial BR Christmas raffle where you could win a custom run of Siebert Outdoors jigs. Money will be donated to the kids who are future of the sport.
  6. Winter is back and I'm back to drinking bourbon. Distilled in Chicago. Smooth on the front end with a bite on the back end.
  7. Spence was a staple in this area. Born and raised in Chicago. He's fallen into the background in the last 6 or 7 years. I don't think he guides anymore.
  8. Are you propping up walleye or putting down bass? I do fish for walleye and I will say my PB which was 7.5lbs fought more like a catfish than a walleye. My PB largemouth was 6.5lbs, caught in cold water, and fought like a lazy walleye.
  9. If you haven't seen it Doing what we can to get kids involved with the sport. If you can spare a few bucks please donate.
  10. Bluegills are fighters but they are predictable which takes away from the excitement. Both my PB largemouth and PB smallmouth were roughly 6.5lbs. Both caught on live bait. Both caught during the spawn. The largemouth was a female with eggs and she got mounted. The smallmouth was released, don't know if it was male or female but, if I had to guess, it was a large male.
  11. Not sure why. Congressmen are the most worthless people in the US.
  12. Had a lot of rust issues with my Tundra.
  13. Old is a relative term. For me, 250K miles on a gasser is my end game, don't care what the age is.
  14. Update Were 1/2 way there at $510 with 11 days to go Here is an updated list of donors who WANT to be included in the raffle. 15. I have a pic somewhere of his mother when she was a kid with a snake wrapped around her neck. She wouldn't go near one now. I had the kids eat nightcrawlers when they were young. Still haven't gotten Eric to eat one...someday.
  16. Great! I'll be updating this thread midweek, I'm out of town.
  17. Stick to your Chicago roots.
  18. He's going to be trouble. Hope you get him in line for his next owner. Shameless plug Have you seen this?
  19. I'd hate to see this slow down. You guys who have followers and/or other members you message, make sure they see this. Let them know it's only 5 bucks for a chance to win $50 in custom jigs and all the money goes to the future of the sport. I've talked to my dad and he will be talking with the administrator of CHEF to make sure the money raised will go to the fishing portion of the event. We've had limited sponsorship on our end, so far, as much of it comes from Ducks Unlimited. The Gurnee IL Bass Pro Shops used to get involved. Even sent an employee for the day to give us a hand with the kids, but that has stopped. Were I a begging man, I'd rather have you all volunteer your time than give us $5. I can't begin to tell you how difficult it is to get folks to give up a day in their lives to help support the future of the sport. Up until recently, we didn't even have access to the stocked pond. Last years event was cancelled because of the Highland Park IL shootings on the 4th of July. I'm sure you've all heard about it. The year before, I was literally swimming out in the swim area, unhooking lines from the ropes surrounding the swim area, in fear that had we left hooks in the ropes, we would no longer be able to use the pond. Ever see a fat guy swim? Not impressive. Ever see a 7yo catch their first fish? Absolutely priceless. @cadman Ted, hate to drag you into this...not really. Can you post your, and Mrs. Cadman's thoughts on the event? Guys/gals, It's a great cause.
  20. I'll double check when I get home but, I think we're at $400 out of the $1000 goal.
