  • Man that looks so comfy too ~ Not Familiar with winter ? OK, so it's pretty intense. Sort of like mudslides, wild fires, earth quakes, sink holes, flash floods and even land sides.

Same here for last night and all day today. Our power went out about 9:30 last night, crazy winds here. Still off now. I had to snowblow a trail from the barn to the house just to drag the generator o

We had hail yesterday and frost every morning this week.

Hoping to eek out one or two more trips.

Chris (FryDog) posted a pic of his place in another thread - both you guys are north of me and they said the more north spots got more snow.

And it was 84 degrees just on Tuesday too.  Unreal.

"Minnesota - don't like the weather? Wait ten minutes and it'll change."

It’s on the horizon for me too. Frost almost every morning now but no actual snow yet. But it won’t be long. Thank goodness my snow removal contracts don’t start until December.

The only good thing about winter in Virginia is that I can fill the freezer with crappie until the creek freezes over and if/when that happens, I can go to the hotside of lake Anna and fish all winter in 55-65 degree water.  As long as I can get there, I can fish.

Yup, we got sleet yesterday here. I’m not ready for this. I like the color change on the trees and the cooler temps 50s-60s but fall missed that memo and we’re in the 40s and 30s for overnight lows.

Send that back here - 4 of the next 5 nights they're predicting lows in the 20s here.

I’m not ready for that yet- And then again I am. They dug up our yard today as part of a construction project. I’m going to have a mud pit until April in the dog yard so the faster it freezes over the better.

but I’m not ready for snow yet.

RED ALERT:     Forecasted to go as low as 34 on Tuesday in central AL for a historic low/date......I can't handle those temps, Panhandle.....I'm coming home baby ?

Two days before that, the high is going to be 84......this is Alabama weather perfectly summed up

It's been in the low 40's and high 30's a couple of times this past week.  We are expected to get the first hard freeze of the season on Tuesday or Wednesday.

37* here right now. 6poundbass has a football game in an hour which is fine for him because he’ll be running around and staying warm. The Mrs and me, yeah a bit chilly! ?

There's another warm up coming later next week.  70 again by Friday perhaps.  A string of 20's at night should take care of the bugs though.

65 is still pretty good for late October.  We are still in dire need of rain though.

6-12” of snow for Marquette. Ahhh no thank you! The UP is nice, but man that’s brutal for mid October.

Typical though - 1988 I drove up to Marquette from Minneapolis for a Halloween party...my girlfriend at the time was attending NMU. Drive up was during a snow-storm, drive back was on icy & snow-packed roads.
