A couple years ago I watched a blue heron snag a 3-4lbr out of the water seconds before I pitched a jig to the spot the fish was at during a tourney. Boy was I pi$$ed.

It's all relative. What is normal in one area may be "wild" in another. Where I'm from, fishing with homeless people, naked people, naked homeless people, gay pride boats, gangbangers shooting at boats, crackheads, dead bodies, and bucketheads is not as exciting, for me, as fishing with gators (on Santee Cooper and Toho), moose and bears in Canada, bald eagles (locally, Table Rock, KY Lake, Canada) and raw nature in general Disclaimer: The local stuff is not an everyday occurence, and I have not found a dead body yet, although local fishermen find "floaters" every year.

I have paperwork somewhere that it was professionaly refurbished the year before I bought it. The guy I got it from was a regular on a local site, and only used it a few times. He was selling a 12' v bottom with it but I wanted at least a 14' jon. He ran it with earmuffs for me and all seemed good. I know he sold the boat and trailer to someone else a day later.

So this is just an idea with no working prototype? I'd bet some of the guys in the tacklemaking forum may have some helpful advice.

My .02 . The All American Trash Fish was given to Skeet Reese by it's creator to test. Berkley now calls it the Havoc Sick Fish. Apparently Berkley and Little Creepers worked out a deal. You won't be able to compete with the big guys and may be better off working for them.

Cruising speed which is 3000-3500 rpms in most cases will give you the best mileage in whatever you run. A 1600lb boat with a 250 running at 50 mph will get better mileage than the same boat running the same speed with a 150 because of the difference in rpms. Also from what I've read, 3-4mpg is the max you will get from a 2 stroke running @ WOT

I take a trip south every spring and a couple to Door County every year. When I have gone south, the hotels and resorts I've stayed at have electric hookup in the parking lots. I always bring the tackle and gear inside. I don't trust anyone. I did get ripped off once. Happened at a yacht club parking lot in Door County. They got a large bag of assorted soft plastics a net and a bump board. The only things I left in the boat. Bring a spare tire. I know from experience that getting a flat on the trailer without a spare is frustrating.

We were fishing a local cooling lake and were having a 50 fish day of smallies and largies. This put up the best fight of the day and came home for dinner. Common on Lake Michigan
