Darnit, He Should Have Jumped !
I've hit a couple doves and seagulls before. A guy I work with hit a low flying goose. It got hung up in the ladder on top of his van. The whole front of the van was a bloody mess and he drove around like that for weeks. LOL

Transom. You need the measurement to know if you need a long shaft or short shaft motor.

Presents!
The only present I look forward to every year is a fishing calendar from my step daughter. She has gotten me one for the last 17 years. Guy Pattersons "Gone Fishing" is the one I got this year. Santa got me a bunch of stuff from TW. My grab bag gift that I picked was a bottle of Makers Mark. I ate good and spent time with family and that's the best gift of all.

Storing Gears And Lures In The Cold
No problems keeping them in the garage. If you move them inside I'm sure it will increase the agony of cabin fever.

Flat Foot With An Older Trolling Motor
May I suggest replacing your TM with the MK iPilot. It's remote controlled. My right ankle is fused which has led to hip and knee issues. I got the iPilot when it came out and love it.

Christmas Dinner...
My mom makes the best pizzelles I've ever had. She doesn't put anise in them which, IMO ruins the flavor. She tops them off with powdered sugar. She would serve the "company" the ones that were perfect in appearance and us kids would get the off centered ones. Grandma would spend all day making the gravy simmering the neckbones and meatballs and sausage in the gravy for extra flavor. My Aunt Josie would make the noodles and ravioli and bake fresh bread. My father makes home made limonchello. The extended family would have Christmas together. Since all my grandpa's brothers and their spouses have passed, the extended family sees each other at weddings and funerals. My family is no longer italian per se as, starting with my mother, most have married outside of the box. My mother and sister carry on the italian tradition for Christmas Eve. Either lasangne or shells stuffed with ricotta. My ol' lady is polish and I hate polish food, but for me it's perogi's on Christmas Day.

I'm Out Of Touch
I know it's me. I just can't grasp the idea why a man wants to look feminine.. Maybe it's the lack of a male role model while growing up. I recall maybe 3 clothing styles when I was young. Preppies, burnouts and punks, and the preppies would change with the yearly fads. Growing up, I wore my hair long concert t-shirts and jeans. As an adult the concert tshirts have turned into everyday t shirts and.the hair is short and falling out. When I go to physical therapy I wear a dago t (wife beater for you southern boys), I've had a couple young women comment on my tattoos. I know they are trendy, so I guess I'm trendy even though I stopped getting them when these women were still in those diapers you speak of. I'm curious. In another 20 years are these girl dressing boys going to be girl dressing men? Maybe I just need to go to the mall more often

I'm Out Of Touch
Went to the mall today with the ol' lady and her daughter. I don't know what's worse. The "People of WalMart" or the kids at the mall. Particularly the teenage boys. Guys walking around carrying IMO purses on their backs disguised as back packs. Guys wearing makeup and having their eyebrows done. The whole skinny jean craze is still going on as well as the urban "show off your drawers" look. Girls wearing the same clothes as their friends. Guys wearing the same clothes as their friends and having the same facial hair. More than one guy dressed as "Where's Waldo". My step daughter works for Nordstrom. There is another employee who wears a cape everyday and according to her "swooshes" around the store. From a conversation I had with the step daughter (she's 23) a couple days ago. dating is different now than the "olden days". The olden days? LOL
