The powerdrive pedal is crap. I have the V2 w/ iPilot which is hand controlled only. The V2 max thrust is 70lbs @ 24v, while the Terrova max thrust is 101lbs @ 36v. The iPilot Terrova can be run with the pedal or hand control. I don't believe there is much more difference than that, but I could be wrong.

Since my surgery in October, the show was the closest i've been to fishing, aside from the internet and staring at all my gear in the garage. I went to the show with intentions of looking at boats and attending the KVD seminar, and the ol' lady tagged along. We walked up and down the aisles stopping by the booths of different manufacturers reps, and she stood in silence while I asked questions, until we got to the Humminbird booth. "You already have one of those" refering to the 798ciSi on my console. "Yes I do, but if I got a larger screen, it would be much easier to see what's going on under the water." She turns and walks away mumbling "What a waste of money" to which I reply,"It's my money I'd be wasting." I head over to the Legend Boat booth. They are a club sponsor and are reimbursing the entry fee for the expo at our first tournament, I just had to fill out some paperwork. Might I say "What a sweeeeet boat!" I spoke with the mfg rep about fishing the TOC and asked questions about the boats on display. "Your not buying another boat, Are you?" "Yeah, I've been thinking about it." "There's no room in that boat" "There's plenty of room to fish. If you want, I can set up 2 lounge chairs on the deck for you and your daughter to suntan" to which the mfg rep responds "There's an optional sundeck cushion that snaps onto the rear deck so you can suntan while he(me) fishes." (I'm thinking to myself, what better way to convince the other half into buying a 50k bass boat LOL) her response to him was, "It's too low, the waves will go right into the boat." (for those of you who pay no attention to my posts, I fish out of a deep v and that is what she's used to.) "Chris(her), this is supposed to be one of the best riding bass boats in rough water." and the mfg rep backs me up saying "I've done 74.4 in 3 1/2 footers without being phased." "You hear that honey? I can drive 80mph in this boat." and she walked away. We walked over to the Lund booth, and her tone changed. Apparently I'm a idiot to drop 50k on a bass boat, but 50k on a Lund, well maybe that's not so bad. The conversation changed from "You don't need a new boat" to "Maybe you should wait til you get back to work and make sure your shoulder is OK before you buy a boat" We went and watched the KVD seminar which was generic yet informative, and I did learn something new. It was 1/2 hour with another 15min of Q&A. I bumped into my dad at the show after the seminar, and went back to the boat displays and talked more boats. I'm leaning towards the Lund Predator 2010 as of now. I'd rather have the bigger boat for the times I'm on Lake Michigan, and less complaining from the misses. We'll see what happens. Said goodbye to dad, went home and had reheated venison tacos. They were good yesterday. Today, Not so much.

If I was towing every day or driving a ton of miles every year, I wouldn't hesitate on getting a diesel.

Maybe it's for the 2014 model. I saw an advertisement at the dealer a couple weeks ago while getting the oil changed. I think it was 10,800lbs on the towing capacity and 405 HP. TRD has a supercharger you can get dealer installed that adds another 100HP and won't void the factory warranty.

They bumped up the HP and tow numbers on the 2013 5.7. I've got an 08 I bought new. Has 90k on it. I get 13-14 on the highway @ 70 and 10-11 with the boat in tow.

Posi rearend is a necessity. I'll use 4wd at the ramp early and late in the season if there is ice on the ramps. Rarely do I see enough algae on the ramp where I'd need 4wd. 4wd lowers the tow rating on the truck, don't know if that would be an issue with your business. It shouldn't be with a fishing boat, because boat, trailer, gas, and gear should be under 3000lbs.

Take a look at 00Mod's Milwaukee thread. The browns will still be in the harbors. White tube jigs and white Gulp Minnows should be the ticket. Bass will be nonexistant at this time. There are some areas on the Milwaukee River you can fish from shore for walleye, but the river has industrial discarge and the fish won't taste so good.

Rules are rules and laws are laws. If I'm on familiar waters, I know how long it may take from point A to point B. If I'm on unfamiliar waters, I time myself from spot to spot so I have an Idea how long it takes to get back. Maybe it's just me, but I would never cut it that close. I give myself a 10 minute cushion for weigh in meaning I make an effort to show up 10 minutes before cut off. We had a tourney boats engine catch fire last year or the year before. Another tourney boat that was fishing the area towed them in and went back out to finish the day. That's what we as boaters, and more importantly, human beings do. Athough, never in a tournament situation, I have towed and been towed. It happens.

I keep mine in the house in a closet during the winter. I haven't blowed up yet.

I have a HB 798. Wish I got a bigger one because my eyes aren't great anymore. IMO the technology is worth the money. I took a look at the Lowrance Touch at Cabelas and it is more user friendly than the HB

The only rewiring so to speak would be at the battery connections. The batteries need to be run in series to get 24v. You probably want to move up to a 3 bank charger. The higher the amps on the charger the quicker the charge. You'll want 2 deep cycle for the TM. As far as which TM to buy MK has different options depending on your needs and pocketbook

What is the primary forage on the lake? Shad? I'd start with a crankbait, lipless crank, or jerkbait matching the forage. Probably one with a rattle.
