Also, should I use a dehydrator or would it be better on the smoker? My buddy gave me a bunch of venison. I'm looking to experiment. I can only eat so much stew, chili, and stir fry.

Got this idea from 00 mod year in review(Thanks) What did everybody accomplish this year and what are your goals for next year? Accomplishments For me, #1 has to be qualifing for the Anglers Choice TOC. I've been tourney fishing for 6 years and this has been the best year so far. Maybe not a big deal to some but this is a first to me. I also weighed in the heaviest fish of the season(May not be big to you southerners)@ 4.91lbs Won enough money this year to cover my entry fees, launch fees, and gas. (It's like I fished for free) I converted my son from a Senko fisherman to a jig fisherman and he won't put the jig down. Goals Do well at the TOC. Spend more time not jig fishing. I want to use all these other baits I have in my collection. Become a more competent bed fisherman. I lose patience quickly, and know I am missing out on some quality fish. Figure out summer patterns on my home water. I'm hit or miss every year. I can catch plenty of dinks during the summer but the big fish are few and far between.

KY Lake. Was fishing with my son and my dad on our annual trip. My dad and I were crappie fishing while my son was casting for bass. He was catching bass after bass and razzing us. I kept telling him it's quality, not quantity.Within 2 hours after we started fishing I landed this girl on a crappie minnow. Between 6-7lbs. That trip was the best trip we had with dozens of bass in the 3-5lb range.

Still looking at fishfinders http://www.cabelas.c...%3Bcat111275280 Does not have HD. The HD version is $300 more. Is there a huge difference. I'm upgrading from a HB Matrix so the way I see it anything will be an improvement. This will be a console unit. I'm hoping to upgrade boats within the year and will probably put this on the bow of the new one. This seems like a heck of a deal. Spoke to the electronics guy at the local Cabelas. Says this one has a better GPS than the HD but he believes Cabelas is liquidating the non HD units because "Everything is HD nowadays" Wayn P or anyone else? Thanks

Just read an article that people are hoarding the real copper pennies. The copper value is worth more than face value. Although it is illegal to melt the coins, they are anticipating the "death" of the penny which has been talked about for years. I use the albright. To avoid slippage MAKE SURE you cinch it down good especially when using flouro.
