What A Shocking Work Day
Awwww. Be a man. Police tasers are 50,000v. Nothing like a little tickle to remind you to be careful. I get reminded all the time. That idiot who didn't put the transformer back into the enclosure should be fired. glad you're ok

Bucket Fisherman
What? You say the IDNR doesn't care?LOL I think it's more that they are spread thin and it's extremely difficult for them to enforce the rules. They are not only enforcing fishing/hunting rules but also any other illegal activities that take place. Here's a link with all the stuff that is caught. http://dnr.state.il.us/law3/report/index.htm They are supposed to be hiring 15 additional officers this year, which should help.

Awesome Commercial
Agree. My opinion on Chevy is based on work vans I've been driving for the last 15 years. Reoccurring issues with starters, cracked distributors, broken door hinges, defective brake sensors, violent front end shaking from warped rotors, and headlight and signal lights needing to be replaced on a repeated basis, has left a bad taste in my mouth. The Ford vans have faired better but I don't care fro the cabin setup. Bought the Tundra new in 12/07 and it has not been without issues, but their customer service is exceptional. I got a better deal on it than the F150 I was looking at.

Name This Fish......(Pic Included)
The dorsal looks alot more bluegill than crappie. Is the water cold and clear, not alot of weeds or cover? Might be the reason it's so light in color.

Name This Fish......(Pic Included)
The dorsal fin would be the giveaway whether it's a crappie or gill. Next time, see if you can get a pic with the dorsal fin strected out. It's definatly not a shad.

Minnkota Power Drive V2 (Stops Responding)
Does it stop at any givin time or when your in the thick of it? The motor has an internal overload which trips if too much strain is put on the motor ie getting stuck in weeds or mud. It resets by removing and reapplying power to the unit. Hope this helps.

Railway Roof Riding
Those are electric trains. There's a video out there of some guy who was walking on top of one of the cars and reached up and grabbed the powerline. Needless to say he doesn't ride the train anymore. Edit easy to find on youtube

Healthy Bass Recipes...
Don't know how healthy this is but Take a largemouth bass filet, ( I assume it would work with any type of "white" fish) and marinate it in melted butter with 2 cloves of pressed garlic for about 15 minutes. Put it on a baking sheet and pour the remainder of the garlic butter on top. Ground up a little bit of black pepper on top of that. Then cover it with any brand Italian style 4 cheese blend cheese. Crush up some potato chips on top and baked it on 400 for 20 minutes. DEEEEEELICIOUS!

B.a.s.s. Bans The Alabama Rig
Probably scared of the controversey, and took the easy way out. On a side note, think of the advertising potential: "More effective than the Banjo Minnow, the Walking Worm, and the Laser Lure combined, the Alabama Rig, So effective, even B.A.S.S. has banned it"

Match The Hatch
J Franco and Crestliner, Most baits mimic forage. The angler chooses a bait that is similar to the forage species of the water he is fishing. For instance, In California, trout swimbaits are popular because the larger bass feed on stocker trout. In the Great Lakes goby, crawfish, and smelt/alewife baits are successful. Some of the powerplant lakes in IL I fish are loaded with shad and shad cranks are very effective. My home lake crawfish and bluegill patterns tend to work better. Other patterns will work in every body of water, but why deviate from the norm unless the norm isn't working? There are a few "universal colors" that can work most anywhere. In reality those colors are still mimicking forage. This I agree with, but when you add the right wiggle to the lure, this it what separates it from the real thing and may cause the bass to strike.
