I didnt notice it b4 untill i added a FF to my TM, but i was wondering why do the transducers CLICK ?? normal??

i bet thats what it is....bubbles... i'll look to see if theres a better spot for the transducer.

I have 3 batts and they are hooked up in parallel and my transducer is mounted as low as it will go

I recently moved my transducer from my TM to the back of the boat bcuz im getting a 2nd unit for up front. so i was reminded of a interesting thing when i originally had the transducer on the back. at slow speeds and idle the screen shows 0 to a normal about of fish when i go full throttle the screen immediately fills with fish icons. also when im floating or using my TM the fish icons seem accurate. the unit i have is a Humminbird 777c and my motor is a Johnson 9.9

ok i ended up getting the 190c. looking at the two side by side i liked the clarity of the 190c screen much better. the fuzziness of the 170 was making my eyes crazy. so i hope the 190c performs well on the lake..

im looking to get one of these for the front of my boat with the sensor monted to the TM. does anyone know if these are good units OR is there a color FF thats better in that price range? OR is the B&W piranhamax 170 just as good?

1990 9.9 johnson w/electric start model #J10RE - ID #R8567381 it has that male plug at the end of the wireing harness so i need to get a female plug and the what goes where diagram.. thanks
