  1. I have always done well on shad raps and seen some the other day with a red lip and hooks. i figured it would be a good dirty water crank. anyone used them?
  2. I have been thinking about ordering a few but i don't know which won to get. They both look awesome on their videos. I like the color of the spro better, but i like the two hooks on the true tungsten. Any body used either of these baits. If so were they worth the money, or should i stick to the sebile magic swimmers.
  3. Terminator T-1. War eagle is my 2nd favorite.
  4. I would say the zoom magnum ultra-vibe speed worm is really close. Check out the berkley power bait flippin tail worm. There not as big but i know they catch the crap out of fish. Last year, Dave Lefebre finished second at the Forrest Wood Cup flippin these worms.
  5. I have always used LC pointers, but i was just wondering if the jackall baits are any good. They look very similiar in size and shape.
  6. I like the chigger craw in both the 4 inch and 3 inch. Both have produced about the same amount of fish for me. I get bit on other trailers, but the bass seem to hang on the chigger craw more.
  7. I ordered some of these plugs the other week, but haven't tried them yet. Has any one used these cranks? I have always preffered homeade balsa plugs over plastic ones but the man i usually buy them from said he was 8 months behind schedule. Hopefully these will do the job until i get my order in.
  8. I found a good dropshot rod today for around 30 bucks. It felt really light and had a good parabolic bend to it. Very soft tip as well.
  9. I was at academy sports today and seen this reel with a 5:1 gear ratio and thought about it getting it for cranking.
  10. I went fishing this past weekend and was catching some good fish on a gunfish. Once the bass quit schooling i couldn't figure out how to catch them. I grabbed a homeade slab spoon and just started fancasting it. I was catching 4lb spotted bass and 4 and 5lb largemouth on it. I figured a flutter spoon would really work since it is made for that kind of fishing.
  11. I use my G-loomis shakey head rod and love it for dropshotting but my dad needs one too. I don't wont to spend $200 on a rod so any advice.
  12. Im thinking about ordering some of the jerkbaits, but i don't know if they are really worth the money. I can get two LC pointers for the price of one of these.
  13. I don't wont to spend a lot of money for a cranking reel because i don't throw cranks a whole lot. I would like a low gear ratio reel for when i do use them though.
  14. Im flipping some vegetation next weekend and have never done it enough to know which line is more suitable. Ive heard you can flip 20 pound flourocarbon, but i am just wondering if it will hold up. If braid is the way to go what lb test should i use and what brand?
  15. I am looking at a new spinning reel and came across this one. I was very impressed that it only weighs 7.4 OZ. Thats almost as light as the steez! I was just wondering how they will hold up.
  16. Ive heard some say powells, light and toughs, all star, etc. I don't know because i have never used a flippin stick. What do you guys think.
  17. I have owned two KVD reels and the anti reverse went out on both so i definetly aint going to buy another quantum. I have had such bad luck i don't have a clue what to buy because i want something that will last me a long time.
  18. I started a college fishing team, and we go to some lake with alot of vegetation. I don't have a flippin stick and was told about the light and tough rod. You think i should go with a 7 or 7'6 Heavy
  19. I have the Loomis shakey head rod and love it. It is very sensitive with a lot of power. The only draw back is i loose a lot of small fish becuase it rips holes in there mouth. I have never lost a fish over 3 pounds on it though. I have caught up to 6lb on it with 10 pound trilene so its power is just right.
  20. Thanks for all the replies. I once heard some one say they weren't sensitive, but i have never tried one. Everyone on here seems to think otherwise.
  21. My local tackle store is going out of business and i need a good spinning rod. All the rods are on sale super cheap. I have never used a mojo rod or carrot stick, but i do have a low rider rod and like it a lot.
  22. Do yall think the CUCX72MH would be strong enough for flipping 1/2 jigs.
  23. I bought one during christams time, and haven't used it much until about a month ago. I was using the 7' 2 MH for football jigs, but realized it wasn't strong enough. I broke so many fish off, it wasn't even funny. I was thinking about getting the heavy action for flipping cause i bought a falcon rod for my football jig needs.
  24. Has anyone used these yet. A friend of mine told me about them so i went to their website and looked at them. They have some good looking baits but i i don't know if they can really trigger a bass to eat by releasing pheromones.
