I buy whatever spinnerbait I like for bass fishing but, for striper fishing, those guys are like freshwater sharks.They destroy lures so, I buy real old spinnerbaits like Lews, L&G, Bomber, or Poes at yard sales or flea markets and replace the skirts. The old ones are indestructable compared to all the new junk made in el salvador,china,honduras, or costa rica.

I switched to yo-zuri hybrid after joining this forum and I see no reason to use anything else.

Lipless crankbaits work on stripers around here. I hate buzzbaits no luck ever. I caught a 9 LB. bass on a jig once I hate the yo-zuri crystal minnows. Ive never caught anything on them. All they have done for me is remove $16.00 from my wallet.

I have the same 50# minn kota on the front of my 176 tracker and Ive never been disappointed with it.It is plenty strong enough for the river current and winds I encounter.

The winter lake level is always lower downstream from our 4 river ramps. It make winter loading and unloading horrible. Two weeks ago I drove up to one ramp to see a toyota doing a burnout with a big fiberglass bass boat on the trailer sitting on the concrete ramp with the wheels no where in sight. I dont know how he got out of it.

How many of you have had trouble with your boat tires dropping off the ramp and your trailer setting on the concrete? Has any of you got any tips or modifications to help in this sitiuation?

Hmm... That's probably why you haven't caught any fish on the lure. Buy a lure retriever, they're cheap and VERY effective. 8-) For some reason my crystal minnows wouldnt swim straight. No matter what I did they would lay on their sides. Some lures you almost want to loose!

You should run out right now and get a few bill norman fat boys. That has been my most productive crankbait. Any booyah or stanley spinnerbait would be nice for starters.Willow blade /clear water Colorado blade/muddy stained water.Have fun!

I have 2 crystal minnows I bought for $7.99 each and have never caught any thing on them. My advice is to use them where you dont want to loose your good stuff.

If you fish in a lake most of the time 40 lb. is plenty. If you fish in the rivers much you will definitely be happier with the 55 lb. A 40 will struggle to pull you upstream.

I have a tracker TX-175 and I love it. I agree with the above advice. Yes it has only 10 hours on it but, does it only have 10 hours because of gremlins or bugs that keep it from running or cranking?Check it out.
