I definitely agree with Pondfreak. Another thing thoug, if you fish a particular spot with reaction baits for a while and stop getting bites, it's not a bad idea to slow down and fish that spot with a plastic or jig. Just my two cents.

Totally agree! I have a dobyns rod, and it is the best one I own. When it comes to an all purpose rod, I would go with a MH over a M.

I have the 6'6" MHF and like Phranchise1213 said they are tip heavy, but they are also very durable. Not top of the line, but definitely well made for the price.

I have a Vendetta rod and it's definitely worth the $80 I paid for it. I don't know much about the orra, but when it comes to the vengeance rod and black max reel they're both decent values for the price. AKA you get what you pay for.

cotton cordell big-o, lipless cranks, any small plastics 3"-5" (I prefer yum dingers, super flukes, craw imitations etc.), jigs (1/4 and 1/2 oz) assuming the pond isn't very deep, and 1/4 or 3/8 oz spinnerbaits.
