i use spro for hard bodies and horny toads for soft bodies

i love these frogs alot and use them exclusively but i do find their bodies to be a little hard causing a few lost fish

ya i like 1/2 oz too and sometimes 3/4 if im in deeper water

i like to try and match the color of the skirt

as long as you get it in the water with a hook you will catch fish

get it professionally cleaned and lubed i have an E7 and it casts very well

put a new shimano stradic on that and you will have a SWEET setup

nice reel..rod depends on what you wanna use the reel for though...

i agree i dont think red hooks help catch fish at all

i have used all of the above and i prefer 50# power pro with a 12# flouro leader is my favorite for this application

i haven't found the color being a factor while fishing topwater

i have both curado 201 e7 and revo stxl and i find the curado easier to cast without backlashing
