  1. David, I've tried the following.. Vanish in 10 and 12lb..to much memory for me. Trilene 100% in 8, 10 and 12..All 3 sizes had very little abrasion resistance. I lost lures with all of those. Seaguar 6 and 8 lb in the InvisX, and 10 and 12 lb in the AbrazX..Lost 3 good bass on the 6 lb in about 2 hrs. at a lake, and some spots I have caught bass before with yozuri, and never have been broken off. As for the 8, 10 and 12, all of them have very little abrasion resistance when fished around rocks, again had breaking issues that I never had with yozuri ultrasoft. I just don't feel that I was catching more fish with the fluro to warrant losing fish, and lures on a regular basis. BTW, none of the breaks were at the knot, all of my rods were checked for any type of nicks, or cracks in the guides, they all checked out.
  2. Wow, some interesting info. Paul..if I dig something up..I'll be sure to post it.
  3. Have to ask..what do you mean by, match..? The colors, or brands..? I like mine to be balanced..
  4. Thanks, read those.. Anyone else..?
  5. Does any one have a link showing the effects of laying bass on the ground, and keeping them out of water for prolonged periods, i.e. to take pic's, ect..? I cited Bob Lusk's comment in his articles, but he wants scientific studies proving it.
  6. Oh boy, the sandies, and spottied bay bass are gonna Love those crabs.. Wish I had some for bay bass tourney this Sunday..
  7. I thought about getting some of that, got the invisx, and abrazx instead. After the breakage issues with those 2 lines, I'm more than glad I didn't get any.
  8. Hmm, nobody but me fishes for these great little fighters.. ;D
  9. Fair enough...K Mac, were/are you using the straight hybrid, or the ultrasoft..? I find the ultrasoft to be Much better with regards to memory. David..I have breaking issues with all the fluro's I've used. I see no decline in catching fish compared to using yozuri. Everyone has different needs, those are mine.
  10. That would be my guess too..
  11. As a user of Yozuri, I'm curious why you both don't like it..I use 6,8,10,12,15, and 20lb ultrasoft, and in the last year or so, I'n only had 1 problem, and I believe that to be a bad batch. I'd like to hear your comments.
  12. TJH, now that your a member of the best bass fishing site, and am sure you'll have more questions, why not invest in an affordable laptop PC..? would make things much easier for you.. Oh, yeah...TW RAWKS.. 8-)
  13. I dunno, I've had my Pure Poison chatterbaits for awhile now, even had to replace a skirt on one of them..all 4 are still catching fish..
  14. Rubbish..I smoke , and apply Megastrike with my fingers, and catch fish..Why make things difficult..? ;D
  15. You did say that you could see the bass swiming around..? well, if you can see them, they can see you, which doesn't help. Try backing away from the shore, and cast at angles, instead of straight out. I would try a 6" roboworm t rigged with the lightest weight you can get away with, and SLowly retrieve it with a twitch every couple of feet. I've known a few guys that will Lay down on shore so they aren't in view of the fish, and yeah, it works sometimes. Above all, don't give up..
  16. I fish for these guys in a few harbors here in so. cali. Good little fighters on lighter line, I have a blast catching them on 6 to 8 lb test, with either a l or med 7'6" spinning rod. Sometimes you can get some nice sandbass in the mix too. Anyone else target these guys..?
  17. There are times when a light fluro line will get bit more, so take that into consideration also..There have been lakes where if you didn't fish with 4lb fluro on a ds..your chances of landing bass were slim, and next to none..this being in almost gin clear water.
  18. Rage tail lizard, t rigged weightless..
  19. Like I said in the OP I want to compare it to a true fluoro. Trust me I'm not going to stop using yozuri I have an 8000 yd spool and currently its only being used as leader material lol. I feel like I may have been spoiled by the strength of yozuri, I mean the stuff just doesn't break. Two weeks ago I caught a 25lb snapping turtle with 10 lb braid and 6lb yozuri leader. Hopefully the suggestions that you guys have made, and will continue to make will lead me to the right fluoro. Oh yeah what invizx were you using? And was it because of a situation where most fluoros would break anyway? I was using the 6lb InvisX..This was in a lake I have fished many times before, and have caught fish in the same locations many times, and never broke off with the 6lb yozuri. As a side note: I tried the 10lb AbraszX fishing for spotted bay bass in saltwater near a jetty. Again I normally use 8 lb yozuri, and yes, if a spotties takes you into the rocks, sooner or later something has to give, However, in the case of the AbrazX, I felt for a 10 lb test, that it shouldn't have broke so easily compared to the 8lb yozuri. In my experience, and this is in semi stained water most of the time, clear water about 10% of the time, I have caught just as many fish on the yozuri as compared to the fluro lines..no matter what brand. I would say, if you fish weeds, or not to abrasive structure the Seaguar will work fine.
  20. InvisX, and ArazX have no where near the abrasion resistance of say..Yozuri copoly..Yozuri 8lb, holds up better than the 12lb abrazx, when it comes to rocks. I lost 3 Nice bass last Sunday, on invisx. I'll spend less $$$, and stick with yozuri ultrasoft..
  21. Reef. Mine are over 10 yrs old..
  22. The Owner shakey worm floats.. http://www.***.com/Owner_Shaky_Worm_65/descpage-OSHW.html
  23. I fish completely barbless for sw spotties, and have lost a few. I have also lost a few Nice LMB to, it will happen, but is worth it imho.
  24. I tie my braid directly to the spool..w/o any problems..
  25. I've had real good luck with the samuri in the 55lb test. if..it was digging allot I'd be the first to say so, and try something else..
