  2. I dunno, if your lookin for a hardbait, the 6" BBZ swimbait at 22.00 is tough to beat imho, soft Hudds not withstanding..
  3. Hmmmm, maybe it's mt stoopid SLOW conection.. :-[ Thanks guys.
  4. All the ultrasoft I've bought didn't have a lot of memory, in fact it has less thean the Izorline xxx I was using previously. Maybe you got a bad or really old spool..?
  5. Anyone else having problems loading tw's site..?
  6. Seriously..? 55# braid with a 12# fluro leader, I tie a uni to uni, 6 turns on each side..and throw swimbaits ..never had a bait fly off due to the knot. Oh..Diawa Samuro braid...not waxy, no break in period..stuff cast's a country mile,,
  7. I have a almost new RS in the trout pattern I'll sell ya...real cheap...
  8. Uni to uni...at least 6 turns on each side.
  9. I think I'd opt for the Okuma. They got good reviews on tackletour..in fact I'd take the Okuma over a Curcial..
  10. Okay, I know the price was 40.00, but, for 20.00 more, you could get a Nate's 6" swimbait...well worth the extra 20.00 imho. Just a thought. Almost forgot..they are now at TW..

  15. Only casted a Calcutta once..they are Nice! Most of the die hard Swimbait guys use those reels for a reason...they work. And I thought my Chronarch casted pretty good..lol
  16. X 2...Also use 10lb on bc sometimes. Fluro..only used Trilene 100%
  17. X 2..plus their Crawdudes..
  18. Wouldn't this be another thread..? as not to go OT from OP question..
  19. Where I fish, we have trout that are stocked by the DFG, so it makes sense to me to use the rainbow trout slowsink, as I agree with Mike that the slowsink is pretty versetile, you can pretty much fish it at any depth.
  20. Hmmm, this might sound goofy, but the BBZ 6" trout hardbaits are a good deal at under 25.00. At the moment, I can't think of any good hardbaits I'd want in the 40.00 range..most are more than that, i.e. CL8's ect.
  21. The goal is 12lb LMB...not all of us So. Cali guys nail big uns every outting... Also I'd like to get a DD striper, never fished for those before.
  22. Saw that about a week ago...hylarious... ;D
  23. I don't think they look anything like each other..
  24. No you don't have to use a leader. Those of us that do, will usually use a fluro leader most of the time. I use 55lb Diawa Samuri braid, has the same dia. as 10lb mono..but I normally tie a 12lb fluro leader on it..depending on conditions, it's usaually 3 to 6 feet long. BTW, rocks and braid don't mix..so in rocky areas, use fluro, mono, or a copolymer.
