  1. I grew up in the 50's & 60's...I pick the 50's.. Now days, idots have kids, leave them to fiend for themselves...no disipline..no guidence...no wonder these kids are in trouble. Teens having kids, adults having kids but don't get married..sheesh...I guess anything goes these days. >
  2. Cool, I know where it's at, never fished there...good luck.
  3. If you throw soft swimbaits..Megastrike works great. Not only does it keep the baits, like my Huddelstons soft and plyable, but as was mentioned it lubes them so the bass seem to swallow them easier...don't leave home without it! Never tried dippin my swimbaits in JJ's, all my plastic's get dipped though. Bobby...where's my swimbait scent..???
  4. X 2..never used the reg hybrid..with the exception of my swimbait rig...everything is spooled with Ultrasoft. and btw, the famous lake Diamond Valley is about 99% Big ole rocks.
  5. Re throwing swimbaits...depending on the weight..i.e. 2oz and above..15lb leader min. and I would go with a coploymer, not fluro. And check your knots Often..Trust me one this one..
  6. Why would you think that..?
  7. The Huddelbugs don't fold up...and they have the hook set up in the nose. Great baits though.
  8. Just got my Okuma 7'11" Heavy 1 to 6 oz baits. So far I have thrown my 6" hudds, 6" BBZ with it. Overall the rod performs pretty good. Btw, I'm using a Chronarch 101 with 55# Samuri braid. My only small gripe is the plastic reel seat. I know 3 other guys that have used their Okuma's for sometime..no problems. This rod will handle 8" baits easily..so for the $$$ I'd say it's a good deal. Re: the Diawa...the rated lure weight was to narrow for my liking, so I got the Okuma..oh, and it's 109.99+tax shipped..
  9. I would say, if you fish from shore, or are over 6' tall, or just need the max casting distance, grab a 7 footer. As for brand, I own a few Shimano's, a couple BPS Rick Clunns, and an Okuma Guide Select..For what you want, and for the best warranty, I'd suggest the Compre, If you ever want to sell it..it retain more resale..just my 3 cents..
  10. I'm not feelin the Jersey look, prefer the older shirts. How bout you..?
  11. The mercury got in there from somewhere, killing the bass won't solve the problem imho. Did they consult a marine biologist...? Sux for you guys, hope you get the water back.
  12. Found some at TW... http://www.***.com/catpage-LNESUFFIX.html
  13. I have 2.. Whacky rigged Senco. Dropshot 4.5" Roboworms. If 1 don't get em, the other will.. ;D
  14. That's why they are Pro's..
  15. 55# braid, with 12# fluro leader, uni to uni knot, 6 turns each side..the knot goes through my guides with ease..chinch the knot down real good, I give 3 good tugs, then clip the tags as close as you can.
  16. I would go with the 50lb braid..
  17. Gin clear water with rocks..
  18. X 2, but get the Hybrid Ultrasoft..
  19. Just as the Chronarch is smoother than the Curado..
  20. The Cold temps aren't helping matters..I have 12lb 100% fluro..and have no problems..
  21. I would have asked here first..
  22. Nope, but I do use weights on the ends of my Senco's sometimes when I whacky rig them..
  23. Define light as far as weight is concerned.
