  1. I would add the 6" weedless Hudd. Tyler is a good dude to do biz with..should have my hookback trout tomorrow. With regards to Matt's new True trout, I haver the tritail, and you will need more than a flippin stick for it.
  2. I have the golden shiner..Thrown it about 6 times in lakes tha have No golden shiners, did get 1 fish. From my short experience with them, they seem to hold up pretty good, and they look great..
  3. I keep tellin you guys to give the Diawa Samuri a shot..No wax, no break in..cast's a country mile, good knot holding ..what more could you want..?
  4. I tried skipping them once, I'm not that good at it, and the Ika sorta did a tumble, and stopped before it got to where I wanted it..lol They cast pretty far on 8 or 10lb line weightless.
  5. 7'6" works perfect for me..
  6. I agree with Dink..also I prefer heavy braid when flippin in heavy cover. Save uo, and get a decent rig if can't afford one now. Be on the lookout for used gear too..some good deals to be had, if you wait.
  7. What type of trailer are you using..? I would try a craw, such as the ragetail craw chunk..
  8. As a swimbait thrower..I'd have to say..Very Nice work..
  9. I would like to know How you guys are tying your uni to uni knots. IMHO if they are tied properly, they won't slip or break under normal use.
  10. X 2..I've had my line snap, never had a knot fail.. News to me.
  11. LMAO....that was Great!!!! ;D
  12. Yep..that's really hard to believe... :-/
  13. I catch the same amount of fish on clear, as I do on green....IMHO..it really doesn't make a difference. This would apply to stained, and clear water.
  14. Nice fish BLee, that's how it's done...
  15. You really need to keep your finger on the line to detect a hit..I find that if I don't do that, and pay attention ..they can and do get the bait down kinda deep.
  16. Bummer...I was pullin for Skeet..glad to see Greg up there though.. 8-) Ike got fourth.
  17. You can use glue if it makes you feel better, I don't.
  18. X 3 6 twists on the braid, 8 twists on the fluro..never had a knot fail.
  19. Good polarized glasses are a must imho...Good glasses will let you see things, like fish that you can't see with out them..The cheap ones aren't opticly correct, which can cause distortion, and they usually don't have the uv protection good glasses have.
  20. No disrespect to the folks at Yum..there is no contest..Once you dip a bait in JJ's, it's there for months..
  21. Fish Tacos..made with red snapper, or ling cod..
  22. All I can say is...glad I'm not where you are..and that here, 65 degrees, partly cloudy, 5 mph breeze, tomorrow 70 degrees and Sunny..Hope the weather gets better for ya...gotta get some more fishing in..
  23. I have a team Diawa, mf..good allaround rod imho..
