Clip-on polarized sunglasses
I bought a pair of Cocons at bps, cuz I didn't want to spend 400.00 on RX glasses. I wore them twice, and trashed them..not worth the $$$ imho.

Weirdest Thing You've Ever Hooked?
Hooked a tennis ball, a 20" bmx bike, and the best thing was a nice shad shaped swimbait, that was custom made by a local guy. I posted pic's of it on another site, and he identified it..whats cool, is I cleaned it up, and it swims pretty good.

Best braids for bass fishing
I'll make my usual pitch for Diawa Samuri braid. 55lb, and if I use a leader, it's 12lb youzuri..the diameter of the 55lb samuri is the same as 10lb mono. So if you use a lower rated braid, the leader would also have to be lower, IF you try and match the the 2 lines diameter, which some guys like to.. As for abrasion, it isn't that great when you get into rocks..but it great for horsing out big bass from tullies ect.

Braid/ flouro leader and line guides
Nope, unless your knot is Huge, and has superglue on it.. ;D I throw braid on my Shimano Calcutta rod all the time..

bluegill swimbaits
They do, I have a couple of the bluegill, and talapia 4" swimbaits..Being they have bottom trebeles..I wouldn't toss them where they can get snagged..I've lost 2 already..I also wouldn't use the term Bed bait either, but you could try em, as they are cheap enough.

copolymer lines
I have used both fluro, and copoly, I have had breakage issues with the fluro, which was trilene 100%.. I have since returned to my Yozuri hybrid ultrasoft line. I use the yozuri in 4, 6, 8 10, 12 and 15 lb tests. Until someone comes out with a better fluro, or coploymer..I stick with what I have.

do you think using only spinning reels is not "popular"
If I'm not mistaken, there's a couple of pretty good fishermen on here that use only spinning gear..

Plastics only?
You might try some shallow running cranks, and shallow suspending jerk baits..i.e. if the rocks are 8-10 ft deep, get baits that max out at 4-6' deep. Also if the rocks are Big, you can get square lipped cranks that will bounce off the rocks, and create a reaction strike. For heavy weeds, a jig with a trailer, on Stout rod and at least 55lb braid, you'd be surprised at what you can do with braid..
-
Plastics only?
Expand your horizons young man.. I throw, everything you would from a boat, Except fast sinking swimbaits.. I throw all types of plastics, jigs, with and w/o trailers, spinnerbaits, jerkbaits, frogs, cranks, ect, ect. Obvioulsy the conditions dictate what I throw, also the structure would play a part too. For example, I wouldn't throw out any treble hook lures in heavy weeds, you wind up losing way to many lures..don't ask how I know this..

Spinning set up vs Baitcast set up.
Just my 3 cents..you can do with a spinning rig what a baitcaster will do..seems some folks like to "look" cool having a baitcaster. Oth, a baitcaster will give you more leverage, and more control fishing in certian situations. Once you become comfy with a baitcaster, you can do almost as much as with a spinning rig, sans very light lures, and of course, you may not be able to cast as far. To proplery use a baitcaster take some practice. There are a zillion topics on how to learn to use them here, a search should turn up more info than you'd care to read.. ;D Also imho, If you get a baitcaster, get the best one you can afford, the better ones will have better brakeing, a free spool, and be lighter in weight..plus have better bearings.

Affordable Swimbaits
I have the bluegill and the talapia...and yes, good bait for the $$$.

Braid again???
you wanna talk about a braid that does not need to be broken in and has no teflon or waxy coating , you have to talk about Triple Fishes Bully Braid , to bad they don't make it any more (tho can be had on the internet ) OTH..you can buy the Samuri at almost any tackle shop, and on the interwebs..

Fat Ikas for large mouth?
All I had at the time was my bc rig. Plus there aren't many places locally that require skipping.. But I'll give it a shot with the spinning rig. try sling shotting it with a spinning reel
