Another vote for Megastrike, and JJ's.. One thing I like about Megastrike is, it helps to keep my plastic's real supple..which helps them retain great action.
  2. next time, take a cordless drill and a 3/16 bit...JK..he'll get his in due time...Karma... Nice work out there...pic's are cool too..
  3. Thanks Glenn, for some reason, I couldn't find that...DUH! lol
  4. Yeah...use Bigger baits..i.e. lures, like plastic's ect..what your using is for smaller panfish, like crappie, and bluegills ect. Check out the bass fishing articals at the top of the home page
  5. Thanks guys..another question, this is a one time thing, so which product do I use..the Pleaase Release, or the Catch & Release formula..?
  6. Next month we are having a friendly tourny, biggest Bass wins..The boat we are using has live wells. What I need to know is what's the BEST way to our fish Healthy durin the Hot days of Aug.. I know there was a sponser here that makes an additive, but for the life of me, I can't recall the name...Also, this will be my first time using a live well, so any tips will be greatly apprciated.
  7. So...did you get a chance to use it..? and how'd it work out..?
  8. I use yozuri US on all my reels..I wouldn't go as high as 12 lb on your 2500/300o spinn ing reel, 10 lb would be max..don't forget this line is strong..If you need 12 lb or stronger, get a bigger reel. just my 3 cents. BTW, I use 6 and 8 lb on my 2500 spinning reels.
  9. Ahh yes, a keel weighted lizard, craw...T rigged worm. You still may get some weeds now and then, but these cut down on the loading up of weeds pretty good. Opps forgot to mention the ragetail toad works well too.
  10. I have swimbaits....even have something to throw them with.. What's so good about the ms slammer compared to other sb, like Matt's ect..?
  11. That's what I like about you Dink...we think alike..
  12. In regards to fishing for fun, or to find larger bass..I've never fished just for the biggest bass..Let me explain..A bunch of us are having a friendly bass tourny at a lake here in So Cali..Diamond Valley Lake, which is a deep water resivor. This friendly contest is for the biggest bass, and is in the month of Aug. Aside from tossing plastic's dropshot, ect..I'm thinking of trying 1/2 oz chatterbaits, and jigs in slightly deeper water, I don't know how deep the fish will be at that time of the month, as this will be the 1st time there...right now the reports are saying that bass are in 15-20' of water..water is clear to about 10' or more. Mostly rocks for structure. If you have any suggestions, I'd really appreciate it...There's a few 100 bucks on the line..
  13. I shoulda known better than to ask that question..LOL!
  14. I have a 2 pc. 7'6" Shimano Clarus..never had any issues..re: sensitivity, and no it's not as good as say my Calcutta is, but is used for longer cast's from shore, I DS, T rig, C rig, and toss weightless plastic's with it..Down side is I use to have to realigned, so now, I use electrical tape on the joint, as I never break it down..To be honest, do I prefer to fish with a 2 pc...No, but I got a deal on it..so I use it.
  15. Reel....Shimano Stradic 2500 Rod...Crucial 6'6" mf, or mhf...I toss alot of weightless plastic's to.. Line...Yozuri Hybrid Ultrasoft 8lb.
  16. Nothing to add, except re: casting into the wind..which I do often..I found that lower sidearm cast works best to get the bait out further, I try to keep my arm (right) at about 2 to 3 oclock, as with golf, a lower trajectory will get you more distance.
  17. Why don't people Smile anymore...are you not having a good time..?
  18. Been doin it that way for years..never had a problem.. Also the op didn't say what size reel, nor what lb line he's using..
  19. I can rig it in every single rigging technique I now. Absolutly.......
  20. If it's wacky style, Senco..reg way...roboworm. I do ds with all kinds of plastic's from flukes to creaturs to ..well, you name it...lol
  21. I also spray it on my guides too...
