  1. #297..green pumpkin with black flakes.. It's a killer rigged weightless wacky.. ;D
  2. I saw a floater on Bob Izumi's fish show, they were in Mexico, the bass in question was about 6lbs if I recall, anyways there was a fair sized tilapia stuck in his throat, the bait fish was surprisingly still alive, the poor bass wasn't so lucky.
  3. With all the threads about braid, and leaders ect..I wonder if anyone else that fishes yozuri ultra soft hybrid uses a leader, i.e. fluro ect..I really don't see a need for it, but I've been wrong a bunch before..lol This would be for bass in stained, to semi clear water, some vegatation, small wood, and some rock.
  4. Got to the lake, tied on my brand new 8" castic swimbait, got ready to cast out only to find that instead of cutting the tag, I cut the line..if that wasn't bad enough, on my 3rd cast that lure got hung up on some timber, never to be seen again.. :-[
  5. Are you wearing polarized sunglasses..? they do help a bunch. I can't see my clear line, but the green mist is fairly easy to see above the water...even with these Old eyes..lol
  6. LOL..that's funny right there... ;D
  7. I'd say dropshot a wacky senco...I'm sure there are other tactics that work well..
  8. Cut the line then the knot...it's just that easy..
  9. While I'm not Mitch....I'll take the liberty of answering and say a definit YES!
  10. Is this on the internet by any chance..i.e. youtube.?
  11. I use zoom, senco and roboworm plastics. Roboworm has a decent selection of colors..in their worms..I just wish they'd last a tad longer..BTW, I fish soft plastics alot, like 90% of the time.
  12. The more spendy glasses wil do the following, keep out more harmful uv, have way less distortion, lens material will be better, i.e. more scratch resistant. Best to try on several brands to see which one you prefer.
  13. I wear RX glasses, 1 pair for reading and another pair for distance..right now I can't afford 300.00 for polarized lense, so went to wally world, and bought some strike king glasses with the gray lenses, I woulda preffered amber...anyways, for $11.00 I can't go wrong, they fit well. Only problem is, I have to switch glasses to unhook a fish, or to tie on a new lure ect..lol
  14. Another take on it...we fish 5" pumpkin Senco's in weed lines and in the toolies, what's wierd is that's the one color they seem to prefer...I wish I knew why.
  15. Just started using the Roboworm "pitchin craw" definitly a bait I throw every outing. Another new bait for me is the BBZ shad I..had a couple of follows, but no takers yet.
  16. Add my name to the list..he even got me to buy the green mist instead of the clear..lol
  17. I use yozuri ultra soft hybrid, I fish worms..ALOT!, about 90% of the time. I tried flouro once, that vanish junk..in my case, the flouro didn't make a big difference, although it possibly could in other situations, i.e. gin clear water.
  18. Ah ha...it only gets better...
  19. Congratz....wtg..nice lookin fish too.
  20. Also, unless there's heavy cover, try a weightless senco, or other worm rigged wacky style. Any thing you can throw that others don't toss out is good, i.e. roboworm creatures for example, also try zoom's flukes, as a jerkbait w/o any weight..
  21. Ahhh, good to hear...wish I had my boat back..I hate renting them things..lol Once work picks up, I'm definitly buyin another one. 4 fish ain't bad, better than a good day at work any day of the week..
  22. X 2...I fish from unless we rent a boat..so the advice below is really good...one thing I always do, and this depends on the lake/pond, the water and if any structure or cover...Senco's and finesse worms. I find when nothing else works, a Senco rigged wacky and weightless usually gets em everytime..oh, and I always take to rigs, just incase....Good luck!
  23. I know exactly how you felt...I'm glad the fish made it o.k. And congratz to both of you.. 8-)
  24. X2 I was losing fish on a regular basis, when I kept the line tight and my rod tip down, 1 it helps to keep the fish from jumping, and 2 a tight line helps to stop the fish from throwing the hook.
