  2. I do, thst's why I bought a 7'6" rod, But I'd really like to find a reasonable priced (under 100.00) 8' rod. Being broke sucks.. :-[
  3. I really don't keep up on who buys/sells what, so could you enlighten me on who bought BPS..?
  4. I agree about the Clarus..I have one and like it, mines a m xf. Also, there are other rods in that price range..70.00-100.00 that you may want to check out..i.e. BPS ect. Or...you could try and find a good used rod.
  5. I use 8# on my shemano 2500..works great..you could go to 10# easily..your choice..
  6. AWESOME!!!!!!!!! Congratz...
  7. If there's fish, there's a way to catch em. Our local city park lakes are tough to fish, lots of pressure, very shallow water, and tons of moss, and algey..but I keep tryin, have caught a few fish, but none of the 6+ lb'rs in there. I don't have every kinda bait made, so I slowly add to my collection...Keep tryin..
  8. Awesome!!!!!!!!! your on a roll..
  9. I'll take 3.5's all day long...wtg Dock.. 8-)

  11. Also, you could toss a ds wacky rigged Senco, t rig a worm, and work it up and down the other side of a hump, up the side of a ledge..ect, same goes for tossin creatures, craws and such.

Congratz!!!! those fish look like they eat real good! ;D
  13. Well, if you find out who tossed your stuff in the pond...calll the cops, they need to pay for that.
  14. If your seeing larger fish boil, or break the surface, it's likely the carp. Just out of curiosity, what baits have you used..?
  15. Well, here in so.cali, you cannot fish at any golf course, even the public tracks...I golfed for a few yrs, and saw some nice ponds, and just drooled...I do know guys that sneak onto courses to catch bass, I never have.
  16. I say dawn, because usually by mid mroning, there are lots of boats flyin around on our already high pressured lakes. BTW, I only shore fish at city ponds, on the lakes we rent a boat, without a sonar, so I have to find the creek beds, and structure, as nobody will give any info where abouts they are.. From shore, I don't have access to deep water, add the fact there are 30 to 50 guys out there on a small pond all trying to do the same thing..catch fish, so it becomes a real challange. Early in the morning is when it's least crowded, so maybe that has something to do with it..? I'm just guessing. I'd really like to move.. ;D
  17. Can you elaborate RW...? just for those of us who are curious...I'm to lazy to check out their site.. ;D
  18. Man, lead weights have worked for many years...I won't spend that kinda $$$ for tungstun...
  19. I agree, that clowns actions aren't justifiyed, I was asking because if were a private golf course, coulda been one of those crazed members..(note: not all people that belong to golf clubs are crazed) who thought they had a right to toss his gear, they should have just asked him to leave IF that's the case.
  20. Blake..are you Legally allowed to fish there..?
  21. WBR..re: the "outfits"..I was being nice...1 would be even better.
  22. Yea his Merc powered Nitro Z9 might have a slight advantage over my 1996 Stratos 258V 70 hp Johnson Haaa...try a rental boat witha 15 mp motor...LOL!!
  23. The lakes I go to kick you off at 6:30 pm at the latest, some as early as 4pm..so the "dusk" bite isn't a option for some of us. So..I have to say the Dawn bite is when I catch the best fish, although dawn would be 7am..when it gets light before 6am..lol Most lakes we catch fish through out the day, depending on which lake we fish.
  24. Well, for really Big lakes...they wouldn't have their GPS's to rely on, but I agree..they'd still do fine. I'd still like to see a tourny w/o them..be fun imho.
  25. Sounds like a great guy...that's something more people should practice...good manners. Thumbs up to him.
