  1. I know a guy that uses a Salmon rod for worms, although it's a 8' spinnin rod.
  2. Maybe he just got a bad one...happens with all sorts of stuff...Think Positive.
  3. Have been using a shemano 2500 for ds'n for awhile..with yozuri 8lb ultra soft...no problems, might even drop down to 6 lb test soon.
  4. The electronics they have today. I'd like to see a tourny where there were none used..go find fish the old fashioned way..I think it'd interesting.....?? Oh, and each Pro is only allowed 3 rig's..
  5. Man...I couldn't go that long w/o buyin something related to fishing...guess I'm Weak.. ;D
  6. Maybe not..I was watching a fishing show, can't recall which one, but they filmed a blind bass, and a good size one at that..she had no trouble finding a meal. I don't recall the specific's, but I belive she snagged a shad. Pretty impressive.
  7. I tipped a closed jar over by accident last night, it was like that for about 5 mins...and none came out. Make sure you tighten the lid..lol
  8. I dipped a Senco in my clear JJ's yesterday, and went fishin at the local high pressure pond, no one was catchin much, anyways, at the senco didn't melt..I had 2 bumps on a spinner bait, one guy caught a dink on a white Senco..btw, you really cant wacky rig in that pond, to much junk... On a side note: I'm gonna give it a go tomorrow at another city park lake, much bigger, and cleaner....
  9. I keep mine in a cool spot in the garage..I ahve refigerator out there just in case it gets to warm.. All I have heard is keep it cool or else !!!!! I asked the same question on a different thread and never got an answer. cant keep it in the boat, cant bring it in your house. WHERE can i keep it at my house?
  10. Hmm, maybe some missed my jest of the post..the cane pole ect was a Joke!...would I fish against KVD, or anyone for that matter..sure ..BUT tourny fishin ain't my thang..However I do like to read about your guys results, makes me happy to see any of you do good. Back to KVD..yes, anyone can be beat on any given day, even Tiger, MJ, ect get beat now and then. And yes..I agree there are some great fishermen that don't fish for $$$
  11. KVD get a cane pole and has to shore fish..I get all my stuff and fish from a boat...........bring it!!! ;D Seriously, I concure with WR, I'd like to see tourny results from you guys, i.e. any $$$ won ect. And KVD at the next BR outing would be Great!
  12. A big WELCOME home..you and all Military people are to Thanked for your service, and I also am glad your home safe. Belated Happy B Day to the young one
  13. I only have the BBZ Spro..and mine cast's just fine, on the BC or spinning. I have no complaints re: the Spro
  14. I have to go with the other guys..B
  15. WTG...those are some nice fish..I gotta pick up more rage tails..lol
  16. In my case..can't tube it..Done almost everthing you listed Except, frogs, and the slipshot reaper. One thing I always try to do is, fish unlike everyone else, trust me, I've tried some strange retrives with all my baits/lures, and although I don't have everything I toss everything I have, presentations are always different. I really need to get back on a decent lake again..lol
  17. Good comment Chris..I stuff my old line in a milk bottle, or anything that's recycleable..As for spooling line, I have a 1' long pice of 4X4 wood, can be any type of wood, drill a hole the size of whatever you want use for slipping the new spool over i.e. a phillips screwdriver, or whatevere...the bigger the 4X4 is, the more tension you can put on it, or you can clamp it down to keep it from moving.
  18. I'll add another vote for YoZuri ultra soft. And yup, I tried the vanish, and hated it, even with KVD line conditioner..I have since spooled both my spinning, and baitcasters with yozuri and haven't had a problem..btw, I use 8 lb on my size 2500 spinning reel.
  19. In my case...yes.

    Zoom 6 " lizard in pumpkin...t rigged weightless...slowroll it over the weeds..or, t rigged with a splitshot..
  21. Wtg Micro...those are some nice fish.. I just bought some rage tail craws..I can't belive the action on em...
  22. We have a local park pond that has some good sized bass, I can see 3-8lb'rs swimin around at any given time, seems like the last 3 days, they refuse to hit anything we toss em..plus this pond like most so. cali lakes, ect see lots of pressure..Like you I'm at my wits end..
  23. I have used Bang craw...I can't see any difference. Just bought some of JJ's magic, but haven't really tested it yet..others swear by it.
  24. For the baitcaster, you need a trained thumb, which comes from practice..I have a BPS extrem, not a bad reel, once you learn to set the drag, brake ect, I have mine fairly loose, so if my thumb doesn't respond at the correct time, I get what they call a pro overrun, not nessesarrly a birdsnest, but slightly tangled line. I'd say go for the baitcaster, but allow yourself time to learn how to use it before you take it fishing.
  25. Maybe you should experience some of JJ's magic.. ;D
