I'll just say this Seth is by far my favorite Pro angler. The guy is down to earth, in his youtube vid's he doesn't try to sell you on anything, unlike some guys. I root for him every time. Re: hair, that's what makes Seth unique. ?

Bass will use their lateral line to locate prey, so any thing that has a good thump to it is the way I would go about fishing in muddy water.

I'm a power guy at heart, But, if conditions dictate that I need to slow down, I will. I haven't tied on a drop shot in a long time. I do have baits that can be fished fast or slow, I let the fish tell me what they want.

I've caught bass on almost every type of color.....Except junebug. Although I tied like crazy to get a bite with it, just never happened.

I also have the reaper hoodie. Keep in mind this old body gets cold pretty easy, the aftco hoodie does a good job of keeping the wind and cold at a bear minium.

I've always tied braid to my spools that were perforated. getting the braid to go through then holes, and carefully cutting isn't that hard, and I would bet, I could do that faster than spooling up backing then tie the braid to that...just sayin.

If it's any help. 5 or 6 years ago when YoZuri had the Soft and regular hybrid lines, I used the soft for fresh and salt. I did much more drop shotting back then, and I recall that the sensitivity was pretty good, among other things. I'd give it a try, for the $$ not much to lose.

Another Cavitron user. Usually white with whatever color blade, I think mine are red. If the skirted version isn't doing anything, I'll switch to a toad or some type of trailer.

What do you mean by " still line " ? 22 lb Defier will work just fine, for most applications. If in Heavy cover, to go 25lb.

Kinda O.T. but did any of you guys catch the Tacticalbassin vid, where Matt is tossing a ..get this, a 4 lb trout swimbait..Crazy stuff.

Some years ago, I tried tossing several plastics in Junebug, and I gave the color pattern a good try, sadly never caught anything in Junebug. However, blue, with some black, in a jig and or the trailer worked to a decent degree, wasn't the most productive, i.e like pumpkin, ect.

I mainly throw 6 to 8" swimbaits, wake and glide baits. Caught many a bass in that size range.

I also use Sunline Defier Armillo, only in the 17 lb test. My reasoning for going lighter is where I fish mostly, the need for heavier line isn't needed 90 % of the time. But yeah, it's awesome line.

Never used fluro for either baits, in all my years of fishing them, I've always used a high quality mono. I see no benefit in spending more $$ on fluro, even in gin clear water.

I have needle nose pliers that are easily 12 years old, made by Rapala. Been used a ton in both salt and fresh, still good as new.
