  1. Never used a trailer on my chatterbaits, only my jigs.
  2. I've always used the flapping hog. Never tried the physcodad. Mostly use the Rage craw fwiw.
  3. If I'm putting my rods in the bed of my truck, I never add anything that isn't totally secured to the bed of the truck. Use bungee cords for light stuff, tie downs for anything heavy. Never had a rod break yet.
  4. OP hasn't been on here since 2012...just sayin.
  5. This is a per TW's description on the 795sb. Please Note: All Rods 7'11" and longer feature removable handles. Click on the "Show Information" tab next to each rod model for more information. Specs on 7' 9" Large Swimbait Heavy rods may vary – actual lure weight is 3-6oz. When I had the Dobyns 806, it was borderline for throwing a 8" Hudd, it actually tossed the 6" Hudd much further. You can contact Irod, and they can tell you for sure. I have 3 of their rods, and love em.
  6. I needed to fish more... But, for us here on the west coast, there are no seasons, so I still have some time, much though, to make up for it. Still looking for my PB..
  7. I'll always opt for quality baits. Especially baits like spinnerbaits, buzzbaits, and glide type baits. Had to many skirts just fall off cheap spinnerbaits and some jigs, plus sub par hooks. I've owned some pretty spendy baits, some in the $ 200.00 range, did they catch more fish ? nope, so I stopped buying those that cost more than say 60.00.
  8. Happy Thanksgiving to you to Tom, and a happy Thanksgiving to all the BR members and their families..
  9. I have a 12 year old bottle of JJ's, I'm skeered to open it up..lol
  10. This is Great to hear Tom. Glad you had a good day on the water. Hopefully your able to get some more..
  11. Man, for that kinda coin, I'd opt for a custom built rod/rods. That way, you get Exactly what You want...?
  12. I've fished lots of very heavily pressured ponds/ city park lakes. After throwing everything cept the kitchen sink, and no bites, my go to is 6lb test with a 1/16 or 1/8 oz split shot, and a 4" worm, I use a 4" roboworm in hologram shad. Caught a few 7 lb'rs on that set up.
  13. Here in So. Cali, there's only maybe a week or so that I don't fish due to weather, i.e. a hard rain, or super gusty winds. Although out climate is changing, as it's getting cooler than in past years, and getting Older, hard to get motivated to go out on those sub 50 degree days anymore..
  14. Simply stated yet so very true..
  15. I haven't compared the T wing with the Fuego with the same line/lures. I can say that the T wing seems to help with casting distance with heavier line, like mono in the 17 lb and up test range. I don't see the t wing as being a problem.
  16. I've got old and newer CT's in all different sizes and a Fuego. I have no complaints about any of them. Great value reels imho.
  17. Here is what a rip rap is... https://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/search/?q=Rip Rap&quick=1
  18. I always pull the trailers off my baits, and put them in my used section in my plastic's storage box, if they aren't too damaged.
  19. Welp, somehow I devolved a sleep disorder. I usually go to bed around 2am, but I very rarely get to sleep before 4am. If I need to be on the water early, I just stay up all night, then pay for it for the next couple of days. 6 or 7 years ago, I had no problem getting up way before the sun came up, now, not so much.
  20. Power here, but if I really want/need to catch fish ( bass ) then as a last resort I'll go to finesse..
  21. Been using a T handle since day one. I feel it gives you more leverage vs a paddle type handle on a spinning reel.
  22. What # test, and what brand line were you using on the Tatula 300. ?
