  1. For the price, you cant go wrong. From an aesthetic point of view, the Steez looks modern and has a lot of sharp angles. The Stella is like the attractive girl who would rather do well in school than party.
  2. Awesome catch I like the release picture a lot.
  3. I was lucky enough to pick one up NIB for 28 bones in a pawn shop. Its not a bad reel but I dont fish it as hard as I do my others.
  4. Gotta cast where they live I dont get worked up too badly. Maddest Ive ever got was loosing $21 in chatterbaits one day, all in the color that was working.
  5. Thats Bark Camp unless Im badly mistaken.
  6. Great post catt Ive got a few offshore things Im having some trouble with, if you dont mind could you give your opinions? Here they are: A big rock, almost a perfect rectangle about the size of an RV in about 20 FOW that rises up about 8 feet. Im thinking it broke off of an adjacent cliff years ago. A ridge thing that goes between two points that are on each side of a cove. The water on one side goes from 30' to 9' and the other side goes from 26' to 13' or so. This ridge is covered in rocks ranging from tackle bag size to fist size. The lake goes down about 16 feet yearly so I get to look at all of this stuff up close. Considering its only fourty feet, that is a substantial loss.
  7. Wow, Burley atop a giant phallus-like structure. Sweet 8-)
  8. I got this thing shortly after it came out and have yet to have any major issues with it. The only issues are that I got sand in a bearing and when I took it apart I played with the break and put it together with the word "off" positioning the break around "5". Had the same issue with two other reels I took apart :-[. So far, this thing is a beast. Ive got it settled down on to a 6'9" carrot and 14lb flouro. I like it, a lot. For all of the twitching bar haters, the bar can easily be removed with no negative reprocussions. I like the bar though.
  9. No. Bill caught the first fish in a B.A.S.S. tourney. If he had ever been caught cheating he wouldn't be the icon he is now. Just recently he was featured in one of Bassmaster's "Day On the Lake" articles. I don't think B.A.S.S. would allow him to be in their magazine if he was known to cheat. http://www.countryhams.com/dance.htm I liked that article
  10. I dont know how this might help you but there's a local guy that makes shakey heads with 4/0 EWG hooks. I like them quite a bit.
  11. I saw one going down the street the other day. I thought it was cool until I saw what it was. Still wanted to turn the BMW 330i I was in and race it though
  12. Cool pics dave. Those newts are in most of the lakes I fish. Last trip out you couldnt hardly fish a brush hawg without it getting tea bagged by one of'em.
  13. ;D What did I used to have for breakfast? COCAINE!!! Lunch? COCAINE! You BS'd the BS-er, congratulations.
  14. I am a tackle junky but I use what I buy. Ive got my purchases pretty well narrowed down though. 1. Daiwa reels 2. Carrot Sticks 3. Baits that I enjoy fishing, screw fad baits that people rant about.
  15. ...and giggled like a girl for most of the movie ;D I would suggest watching it. Some of the dialog was incredible. I loved the shirts that "ronnie" wore. One said Big Booty and had some graphic ladies on the front ;D
  16. I feel your pain MC Burley.
  17. X100 If it isnt choco'd out Id rather just eat real fruit.
  18. I have two that I like pretty well: Team Diawa S 7'0" MH Crankbait/Spinnerbait specific. Its a little over $100. I like this for what its recommended for. The flex is good for spinners and deep cranks. Fenwick HMX 6'6" M Mod. for around 80-90. I use it more for lighter cranks, topwater, and jerkbaits if I dont want or cant use spinning gear.
  19. TEXAS RIG ;D I must just suck. I used to throw a jig in place of it but Ive been using it more recently. Last trip I had the jig beat 8 to one with a t-rigged brush hog.
  20. Sorry fellas, those light colored ones kill me jfriendva, SOHO isnt called the dead sea for nothing. I was fortunate enough to be fishing with a guy who had fished there for years and had one a federation tourney the day before. If you can get up with someone who knows how to get them there you could probably do pretty well. As far as which species is better, it might be a tie but I think smallies are better. Ive heard of both 8lb LMB and SMB coming out of there and the SMB is a lot closer to a record, so I'd go for them.
  21. Thats one of the dumbest things Ive ever read
  22. Way to donate Daiwas Thats nice of you guys
  23. Yes! Thats epic lol.
