  5. No. Bill caught the first fish in a B.A.S.S. tourney. If he had ever been caught cheating he wouldn't be the icon he is now. Just recently he was featured in one of Bassmaster's "Day On the Lake" articles. I don't think B.A.S.S. would allow him to be in their magazine if he was known to cheat. http://www.countryhams.com/dance.htm
  6. It's not a dumb question but it's a tough one if you don't want to spend money. I was going to suggest renting a slip for the boat while you paint the trailer, but then I read the second sentence. Without using a lift of some sort I don't see it happening. I'm sure boat fiberglass repair shops have one. That's where I would take it.
  7. Nelson, I think he is referring to you holding the fish in front of the "No Trespassing" sign." If you were trespassing on someone's property many will see that as an uncool thing to do. Hopefully, you received permission to fish there. Welcome to the BR community. Edit: Ah, you beat me to the post. Great!

  10. I've love "The Onion." Best "news" on the net!
  11. Yeah, think about it. You're Greg Hackney and you have over 72 lbs after three days (averaging 24 lbs a day) and you don't make the final cut to twelve anglers. Amazing!
  12. I wondered who took the crappy pictures. Great video work made them acceptable though.
  13. I would guess (and I emphasize the word guess ) that the water is muddy from top to bottom. Since you had a very heavy rain a couple of weeks ago and it has been raining on and off for the whole two week period I think the mud would have dispersed throughout the water column.
  14. That video really drives the point home! Notice that when the boat finally stops his head is not too far from the motor. Thank goodness, he was using the killswitch.
  15. GMAN, I read the title and thought you had a 20 lb sack of bass. Considering the picture, it looks like you went fishing for turkey.
  16. Wow. How cool is that? What a great Mother's Day!
  17. I get your point though. I think LBH nailed it on the bait companies' intentions.
  18. Often, bass will move up into the brush when the water is rising. Sometimes it is difficult to find them when they move up as they can be scattered or they can be located in an area that you can't reach with your boat. Watch your reservoir levels every day. If they start pulling water from the reservoir and the level starts to drop, the bass will recognize the level is going down and will move back out, often near the former waterline and their old stomping grounds before the rise in the water.
  19. What about lipless crankbaits?
