  1. Welcome!
  2. Welcome to the forum!
  3. Welcome to the community, Mike!
  4. I've broken two rods in my life. Both were near the tip and both were my fault.
  5. I don't own this model but I do have four Powells and I like them a lot. If the quality of this rod is the same as those that I own I think you'll have a good flippin' stick at a good price.
  6. Excellent! I'm looking forward to the full story.
  7. That's a wild story, George. It's too bad the fish didn't jump into your boat. You could have used that as advertising copy. "For the best fishing in your life, fish with George Welcome. With his guidance the fish jump right into the boat."
  8. Not bad at all! Those are nice looking fish.
  9. I don't fish very often in Kansas, but just in case, I included it.
  10. Welcome!

Awesome fish! Congratulations on the new PB.
  12. Welcome to the community, birdy!
  13. Dude, you do post some beautiful fish. The fact that they are huge just adds icing on the cake. . . . or maybe I should reverse that.
  14. I fish out of a Stratos. You might want to add a few major brands to your poll: Stratos, Champion, Basscat, and Skeeter are some that come immediately to mind.
  15. I wish they had a special on the 11 inch worms. 8-)
  16. If someone doesn't know you I can understand some doubt until you pull out the proof of a big fish story, or stories. The "stories" that some people tell are amazing. The guy you spoke to has to know that his stories aren't believable.
  17. Where I come from a 5.2 smallie would be a hawg and a 3 lb smallie is not something to laugh at! The Missouri smallmouth record is 7 lb 2oz.
  18. I use 12 pound test monofilament with 3/8 oz or smaller spinnerbaits in any kind of cover and I currently use Sufix Elite. With larger spinnerbaits I like to use 17 lb test.
  19. Probably...though I originally made it to email my buddy. On a related note, when I first joined here I made an avatar with a picture of me holding a bass that was obviously photoshopped. It appeared to be about 40 pounds!! I really thought I was being funny and creative, but a couple of people took exception to it, and I deleted it to avoid trouble. I learned a valuable lesson, you can photoshop to hide your background, or make a picture funny...but you better think twice before you change the size of your bass. That avatar may be what I'm remembering. It was obviously a joke, because there are no bass of that length on the planet.
  20. I have no preference. If it works for me, I use it.
  21. Nice trip, J! Those are some nice fish.
  22. Today: Nice fish, Paul! Last Week: Nice fish, Paul! Two weeks ago: Nice fish, Paul! ad infinitum
  23. ;D Daniel, did you post that before? I think I've seen that picture.
