  1. I guess you are getting one then?
  2. I have never had an issue getting parts for a BPS branded reel. Have you tried calling their parts number. Nope, I had the reel about year and a half of fishing and got this problem tells me the reel is junk. A Curado, Revo, or Zillionare would not do that.
  3. Welcome, to the forum! Don't listen to Sam about anything fishing related, hahah. Sam, I am about to head out, will bring those DVDs by.
  4. Welcome ot BR! Since you are a flyfisherman as well we will probably be talking a lot! There are some godo people on here, hope you find the infromation you are looking for.
  5. I was sitting in a meeting a work today and it got boring! Being the first really warm day around here in Richmond I started day dreaming and i knew I was going to give the drop shot a chance tonight and I was thinking about putting two hooks on to the normal config. Just tie another Palomar knot in and have a distance say 2' between the hooks and then 12" down to the weight. Anyone else thought about this or tried this before?
  6. I agree with B A S S E R on this one. I have a Prolite from 4 years ago and do not use it anymore. In fact, I bend a shaft in the reel and it had to be taken out and machined down. The problem with these reels are there are no parts for it! It gets broken and you are dead in the water. BPS just shapes it cool like, puts some flashy stickers on it and sell. It is visucally appealing, but mechanically garabe.
  7. Morning everybody! Hey, I was wandering if anyone was heading out fishing today? I wanted to get the water temps from you when you get back. Thanks,
  8. Agree with everything but the Double Taper, Weight Forward (WF) will be easier for you to learn on. Also, get some cricket flies, they will be unbeatable! One fly that did a lot of damage for me was a Blue wing olive with the hackle cut off and used as a nymph. I got to meet some nice trout with that pattern! 8-)
  9. I didn't see stainless steel Ball Bearings.
  10. X2 the corn works! Also, this will sound stupid, but a small ball/square of cheese. I got my largest freshwater fish on that. A Rainbow, stocked pond, ok, I will post the picture 2morrow he was probably 30+"
  11. It is right below where Pony Pasture is. If you get to PP by way of Forrest Hill. From Forest Hill heading towards the river right as the road bends to the left ( a small bank) after you pass the condos, and clear that strip mall there. Make that right, go over to blocks and make a left (onto Landary Dr.). Drive until you get to the cul-de-sac. I think it is the Jamer River Wetlands area, a good walk to get down there, but not too many people an OPEN slow water, easy to wade.
  12. Zona's show for sure! The man loves to fish and proves it every episode!
  13. This isnt the last music I heard that impressed me, but it is the music that has impressed me the most! Gotta to show respect to the blues/rock guys SRV Voodoo Chile http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1GSpbuFSr2o SRV Little Wing http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zAG-kX_IlUw Muddy Waters Mannish Boy :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)
  14. You guys ever head down to the end of Landry Dr.?
  15. Ok guys and girls, It is going to warm up here in VA this week, highs today about 70! Get your rods and reels ready, check your fishing licenses to make sure there up to date! If I can get my Exploder out of the shop (again) before the weekend I am hitting it Saturday morning!
  16. There is a good discussion on about the best soft plastics for smallies out there. Might want to steal some ideas from there. Enjoy the scenery and fishing!
  17. What is that guy the Bass whisperer? He found a great way to save $$ on fishing tackle!
  18. Yeah, that is not right! Both morally and ethically as a fisherman, you enjoy the hobby, but not do abuse it. Jerk man on TV guys part.
  19. But even so, wouldn't it be trespassing for fishing in it without permission? I am not liking the rational thought here. :-[
  20. I guess BPS tanks would be considered private ponds so, no fishing license would be needed.
  21. I recently started using the Palomar knot, practice tying it to make sure it sits properly for drop shots. But, I have been using Yo-zuri hybrid line with no problems at all. But, no fish have tested the knot for me yet.
  22. http://www.berkley-fishing.com/products/soft-bait/powerbait/hollow-belly-pro-tube I found these, but there expensive!
  23. I think Dtack has proof that bait works!
  24. Good videos guys! I like the CA fishing one a lot, also I have seen the FLW collegiate video, kind of funny.
  25. Thanks! I had a feeling it was a lipless, but I would not have gotten the color.
