  1. Nice fish! Those Rapala perch colored jerkbaits are great! I have done pretty well with them myself. Great Bass!
  2. Good catch! well done!
  3. I got a Shimano Compre 6'-3" med. light rod that does great. I live near a wadeable river so, I did not get anything too fancy because I know it is just going to get beaten up. Notice though the Shimano tamper on the rods, a lot of backbone and light tip, make a great combo. Good luck and enjoy that new reel!
  4. I have been doing well lately with plastic crayfish. Both the Berkley Chittercraw and now the Net Bait baby Paca Craw (got a 3.5# today on one). I just started fishing with Sam in his bass club and the one thing I can tell you, plastics are the ticket. Don't get frustrated
  5. Wander, yeah I have seen the Rage's there next to try on my list.
  6. Very nice fish! Love fishing on ultralights!
  7. Yeah, the Symmetry is a great reel! I have that and a Shimano Sedona, get reels! As for as rods, see/feel which rods match up best and balance well on them. Pfleuger and Diawa does make great stuff, I just have never had trouble with Shimano so why leave them.
  8. I now have confidence in a Paca Craw. Got a 3-1/2# on one today!
  9. It sounds like I have two good options to go with thanks everyone! Hayden, AJ bought that crucial rod up there for flipping, if he did not get it then I would have probably gotten it, ugh! oh well.
  10. Hey everyone, I got a question or two here, but let me start off with a small story. I have a tournament coming up next Saturday on the Potomac and I got handed a free fishing magazine at work for the VA area. Well, there was an article in there about what some pros use on that river. A couple where saying use Paca Craws while I seem to prefer the Berkley Crazy legs chitter craw. That got me to thinking the Paca Craw does not have legs on it and that is one reason I prefer the Berkley, or does it really matter and I am over thinking fishing? (stupid green fish!) I mean really does it seem like the bass can tell a difference? Anyone, know anything about the Potomac yet?
  11. Hey everyone, I got three reels and two rods so, I need or should get a new rod. I want to start flipping and pitch some, but never done that before. I have three reels to chose from just not sure which reel to apply. I have a Curado 200E5 and Curado 50E as well as a 2009 Revo Premier. What which do you suggest I match with a flipping stick and why? Thanks
  12. Nice fish, did you go where we were at last Saturday?
  13. Everyone in the central va area check the weather for the next 7 days. This could be the weather pattern we need to start catching fish.
  14. I would suggest getting researching the reels more. For UL fishing you need a great smooth drag system. One person talked about getting a custom St. Croix and Shimano Stradic C4 combo, that must be a great set up. Also, I suggest copoly line instead of mono. Good luck!
  15. The Bait Monkey powers are strong when I walk into your store! Nothing like getting a new lure(s) and being excited to go fishing! Sunday is suppose to be nice I will hit you up AJ. PS you are lucky we are fishing buddies or I would have walked out with that Crucial yesterday.
  16. Rapala's Yellow Perch color scheme, blue back charte. sides, then crayfish colors.
  17. Load up on worm hooks bullet weights, fishing line, and sunscreen. I must have about 30 2/0, 4/0, 5/0 hooks to use. I love it, running out of someting while fishing ticks me off to no end! Or, if that does not interest you, how about a nice pair of sunglasses?
  18. Sam, not in my front yard, but that tree is usually late. I called you today Sam, give me a ring back.
  19. Blue, yeah it is a great reel! Happy you like it that much, I love mine just the same!
  20. I just need a jersey that is it! Too funny!
  21. Thanks Bulga for the tip, good idea for sure! I like the 5 to 1 ratio, I have a 2009 Revo Premier with the 6.4to1, but not sure how I trust that reel, but that is a different discussion. I do love the new 50E I got last week.
  22. It is very strong and sensitive line. I have bent hooks on lures before snapping the line when a lure is stook in the water. Plus, at $9 per 275 yards, it priced right.
